Awkward second Tulisa snubs Coleen as they meet on seaside in Australia for the primary time on I’m A Celeb

As the 24th season of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here kicked off last night viewers are bracing for drama down under.

Despite it only being the first episode of the season it seems tensions are already running high as eagle-eyed fans caught an awkward moment between singer Tulisa Contostavlos and media personality Coleen Rooney.

Following a terrifying skydive onto Byron Bay an adrenaline-fueled Tulisa runs through the sand towards cheering fellow contestants GK Barry, Melvin Oddom, Coleen Rooney and Coronation Street‘s Alan Halsall.

Tulisa is tasked with picking one of the celebs to be her partner and appears to make a beeline for Coleen before swerving and selecting Corrie legend Alan at the last minute instead.

She gives him a warm embrace and seems to snub Coleen, appearing to barely acknowledge her before she heads off across the beach with Alan in tow.

Inbaal Honigman, celebrity psychic and body language expert, observes a clear ‘mismatch’ of body language between the pair.

She explained: ‘Mirroring, in body language terms, is a show of empathy between two people. Two people who are doing the same gesture in front of each other are on the same wavelength.’

Ms Honigman highlighted that Tulisa and Alan’s gestures ‘match up and link with each other’ as they throw their arms open at the same time –  but with Coleen this is not the case.

‘Coleen leans far away from their embrace in a move which shows she’s comfortable to let them become a team. Her respectful ducking out of the situation says ‘no hard feelings’ as Coleen is still smiling and clapping,’  the expert added.

The moment has caused a social media storm as fans of the show begin to speculate why the pair may not see eye to eye.

One X user thought maybe the frosty reception was due to Tulisa hoping to be the biggest name on this year’s series.

She wrote: ‘Tulisa defo thought she was the main star this year until she saw Coleen…’

Another found the encounter amusing and said: ‘Tulisa just pied Coleen ha ha ha’.

A third couldn’t believe her eyes asking: ‘Did Tulisa pie Coleen?’

The day started in the million dollar Queensland mansion, Diamond Head, when Tulisa Contostavlos, McFly’s Danny Jones , Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough, Loose Women star Jane Moore and Strictly dancer Oti Mabuse were spotted running from the house across the grounds to awaiting helicopters.

Longtime hosts of the ITV flagship show, Ant and Dec, watched on, having just delivered them instructions of the task ahead.

The five celebrities were whisked away 700km North of the mansion to Byron Bay where they completed a parachute jump down to the beach where the remaining contestants were waiting.

Coleen headed up the group waiting on the beach and was joined by Melvin Odoom, Barry McGuigan, GK Barry and Coronation Street’s Alan Halsall.

Weather conditions proved to be a problem for the stars waiting as production staff sheltered them from the blazing Australian sun with umbrellas.

But the wind on the beach was so rough that the umbrellas were blown the wrong way which reportedly amused Coleen Rooney who was seen by an onlooker to be laughing about it with her campmates.

The parachutees ran to greet their campmates on the beach, with Tulisa seen beaming and looking gorgeous in a white cropped t-shirt.

Coleen meanwhile was ready for jungle life, casually dressed in a green combat trousers and a tight white vest.

There was some drama though amid the friendly scenes as Loose Women star Jane Moore’s jump went drastically wrong.

The ITV star, 62, ended up landing a quarter of a mile down the beach, landing on holiday makers.

She was unharmed and was seen walking toward her intended landing sport where she was consoled by her campmates.

The skydive is part of the opening episode’s epic race, called Snakes & Leaders, to kickstart the celebs’ jungle journey in what ITV have billed as ‘one of the most competitive launch shows ever.’

After meeting up on the beach, celebrities will pair up and partake in a number of challenges in a bid to cross the finish line first and become the camp leaders.

The winning pair will be awarded the coveted title of the first leaders of camp, they’ll be exempt from any chores, will get to sleep in the Leaders’ lodge, and run the camp exactly the way they’d like.

Some of the group have already taken on one of the show’s infamous drinking challenges though.

Before their skydive Tulisa, Danny, Dean, Jane and Oti were given a drinking challenge – the drink was blended bull’s penis with fish eyes and a garnish of vomish fruit which they had to down in one.

There’s all to play for in the opening challenge as the luxurious Leaders’ Lodge boasts two comfy beds with mattresses, shelter from the rain, as well as plush duvets and pillows guaranteed to keep them warm and snug during their jungle stay.
