This is the moment firefighters battled a raging inferno after a homeless camp was set alight.
Ten firefighters tackled the blaze which broke out at the camp on Tottenham Court Road in central London just before midnight on Sunday.
Rough sleeper, Gary Birdsall, 51, told MyLondon he woke up to the sound of screaming and fire engines.
He said: ‘I was asleep, and I heard the fire engines and I heard screaming.’
Footage posted on social media reveals the ferocity of the blaze, which can be heard crackling as emergency sirens wail in the background.
Around four cubic metres of rubbish were destroyed by the fire, as well as half a tent and an electrical display board, the London Fire Brigade said.
No injuries have been reported.
Two fire crews, from Euston and Islington, attended the scene with the fire being put out by 1.06am on Monday.

The flames emerged just before midnight yesterday (Sunday) as fire officers took three calls to respond to them on Tottenham Court Road

The Met Police, who set up traffic control measures at the busy tourist hotspot, said the incident is believed to be ‘non-suspicious’.
The London Fire Brigade said: ‘Around four cubic metres of rubbish were destroyed by the fire. Half of a tent and an electrical display board were damaged by the fire.
‘Control Officers took the first of three calls at 11.56pm and mobilised crews from Euston and Islington fire stations to the scene.’
