January Jones has long had fans believing that she outed Ashton Kutcher as Hollywood’s worst boyfriend after a 2009 interview – despite not mentioning him by name.

The Mad Men actress, 46, dated Ashton, also 46, from 1998 to around 2001 when they were both models for Abercrombie & Fitch.

During that time, January was also dipping her toe into the world of acting.

In a resurfaced 2009 interview with GQ, January talked candidly about making the move from modeling into showbiz, revealing that her boyfriend at the time wasn’t ‘supportive’.

She told the outlet: ‘The guy I was dating when I first got to L.A. was not supportive.

‘He was like, “I don’t think you’re going to be good at this.” So — f*** you!’

While January never mentioned Ashton by name, many have been convinced that she had been referring to him due to the timeline of their relationship.

During a 2016 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she was asked whether she was referencing their romance in the chat, and she continued to play coy.

A viewer called in and asked: ‘January, have you talked to Ashton Kutcher since he said you couldn’t act and what do you think of his acting skills?’

Taken aback by the question, January blushed: ‘Oh, ouch!’

‘You said in an article in GQ that he had said that about you, right?’ host Andy, 56, then chimed in.

Setting the record straight, January responded: ‘No, I didn’t. I said that someone I had dated previously wasn’t encouraging of my acting, not that I couldn’t.

‘I don’t know if that person had ever actually seen me act.’

‘Got it,’ Andy said.

January continued: ‘But the person who wrote the interview did the math and thought it might be him, but I never really said who it was.’

Turning her attention to Ashton, she said: ‘But I haven’t talked to him, but I’m super happy for him and his family, to be political and all that.’

Desperate for answers, Andy then asked directly whether it was in fact Ashton she was referring to, but January didn’t reply and instead just laughed.

January got her acting break in the 1999 film It’s the Rage, starring alongside Joan Allen, Andre Braugher, Josh Brolin, and Jeff Daniels.

That same year, she also appeared in the television show Get Real, a teen comedy drama that ran for just one season.

Arguably January’s biggest role to date was in the hit show Mad Men, which ran from 2007 to 2015.

In the series, January played Betty Draper, a role that earned her nominations for two Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama and a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

Ashton has been married to actress Mila Kunis since 2015 and the couple shares two children: daughter Wyatt Isabelle, 10, and son Dimitri Portwood, seven.

January’s current relationship status is unknown.
