Boss of disastrous Willy Wonka immersive expertise seems in court docket accused of rape

The man behind the infamous Willy Wonka Experience event has been accused of rape.

William ‘Billy’ Coull appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court from custody where he also faces a separate allegation of sexual assault.

The 36-year-old, of the city’s Knightswood, made no plea during a private hearing.

Coull was the organiser of the Willy Wonka Experience in which families forked out £35 a ticket earlier this year at a warehouse in the city’s Whiteinch.

The event was staged inside a warehouse in Glasgow

The event which went viral on social media was described as disastrous, ill-prepared and shoddy.

He was forced to shut the event down amid claims it left children in tears.

Coull was granted bail by Sheriff Gerard Bonnar and committed for further examination.

His next court date is to be determined.
