Jay Slater household’s shifting remaining ‘stunning folks’ replace over £71k GoFundMe pot
Jay Slater‘s family posted a heartbreaking final update after raising £71,000 on GoFundMe.
The 19-year-old, who was an apprentice bricklayer from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, disappeared on the morning of June 17, 2024, while on holiday in Tenerife. He was found on July 15 in a remote near the village of Masca, with a post-mortem examination concluding his his death was instantaneous, and injuries were consistent with a fall.
Last week, the fundraiser was closed and Jay’s mum Debbie Duncan, 56, posted a final message to thank all those who donated. She wrote on November 21: “We would like to thank all you beautiful people who supported us throughout this heartbreaking time. Jay really did touch the hearts of the nation and it truly showed us how much love you all shared with us.”
