A UFC legend has slammed Jake Paul for ‘disrespecting’ Conor McGregor over online comments he made in the wake of the Irishman losing his recent sexual assault case.

McGregor, 36, faced an accusation that he ‘brutally raped and battered’ Nikita Hand, 35, at a hotel in south Dublin in December 2018.

The MMA fighter previously told the court he had consensual sex with Ms Hand, also known as Nikita Ni Laimhin, at the Beacon Hotel. He denied causing bruising to the plaintiff and has since cited his intentions to appeal the ruling.

McGregor was criticised by his rivals after losing his assault case and has largely stayed silent after Ms Hand was awarded nearly €250,000 in damages.

Meanwhile, YouTube star turned boxer, Paul, took aim at McGregor in the wake of the conclusion of the civil court case and made astonishing claims against UFC president Dana White and McGregor.

Fresh from his controversial boxing win over 58-year-old Mike Tyson, Paul has made a career habit of making outlandish statements online and was extremely eager to air his view.

Posting on X, Paul said: ‘Dana hits his wife Conor’s convicted of rape But I’m the bad guy’.

McGregor initially hit back in a now-deleted post, adding: ‘No you’re a gay little nerd,’ accompanied by a laughing emoji before Paul accused him of having a ‘fried’ brain ‘from all the coke’.

Now, former UFC light heavyweight champion, Jackson, has retaliated to Paul’s derogatory post and labelled McGregor as ‘royalty’ while also offering to fight the 27-year-old.

Calling Paul out on X, Jackson said: ‘Yo @jakepaul watch how you talk to MMA royalty. I’ll fight you in MMA no weight class for no pay.

‘That’s a great deal.. but I bet YOU won’t. Stop disrespecting people in my f***en sport homie. You fighting Tyson was your last straw.. go back to boxing wrestlers.’

The 46-year-old later doubled down on his rhetoric in an interview with Ariel Helwani, adding: ‘After I knock out Rashad [Evans], I’m coming for Jake Paul’s neck because I see him trying to bully Conor McGregor so I did a tweet. I’m waiting for him to tweet me back.

He’s talking about he wants to fight Conor McGregor in MMA and stuff like that. McGregor going through some other bulls*** with false allegations and getting sued and s**t like that.

‘He already pissed me off [with] what he did to Mike Tyson,’ the retired MMA star added.

Paul hasn’t responded to Jackson’s comments and isn’t short of options for his next bout after beating Tyson, with a host of top-tier boxers including reigning world champion Daniel Dubois calling him out.
