Woman dubbed ‘paedo’ for marrying bride who ‘seems to be 10’ fears ‘abuse will worsen’
A newlywed who faced harsh criticism after posting photos of her youthful-looking wife has made a heartfelt plea following their latest life update. Influencer Lauren Evens was ecstatic to marry her partner of two years, Hannah Kaye, but then the savage trolling started.
Trolls accused 31 year old Lauren of “kissing a young boy” – despite Hannah being just 29, only two years younger than her. In October, a month after their September nuptials, Lauren and Hannah announced they were expecting triplets.
While they’re thrilled to be growing their family, the newlyweds now worry about further mockery due to Hannah’s youthful looks. UK-based spouses Lauren and Hannah conceived through reciprocal IVF using donor sperm.

They used Hannah’s eggs, but Lauren is carrying their three children. The process set them back £8,920, with the couple travelling to Cyprus for treatment.
After being given a 75 per cent chance that one embryo would take if all three were implanted, all three did, in what the expectant mums see as a ‘miracle’. Unfortunately, their joy is somewhat overshadowed by the fear of more abuse.
Lauren, mum to a 10 year old lad and nine year old girl from an old flame, spilled the beans to the US Sun about the gossip that’s been dogging her since she got hitched, saying: “People think I married a schoolboy and am having his children. They are ridiculous and uneducated.”
She bared her fears too: “I know the abuse will only get worse now that I’m pregnant.”
Love first sparked on Tinder for the wives two years back, with Hannah getting down on one knee in January 2024. Come September, they made it official at a local Surrey registry office.
Previously, Lauren had a natter with What’s The Jam, opening up about mixed reactions to their wedding day: “Some people said it was cute that my 10-year-old son was walking me down the aisle. Others said it was disgusting that I was kissing a young boy. I paid thousands of pounds to look younger and change my body and appearance, but my wife is just very lucky to have incredible genes. She is two years younger – I am not getting arrested.”
She went on: “Hannah is a tough nut, but the comments offend me, and they are incredibly hurtful. People think they have the right to call me a predator or a paedophile, and that disgusts me. The amount of abuse we have received is just ridiculous.”
Hannah, who often finds herself carded at supermarkets and bars, has spoken out about the torrent of online snubs. “The negativity exploded when we uploaded our wedding photos. But even before that, any photo of us together would attract nasty comments because I look younger. Our family have read those comments online, and it upsets them, too. They are very protective of us both.”
She further stated: “Everyone has their opinion of my appearance, I’ve grown up with everyone having an opinion of me and how I look. I just don’t acknowledge any comments; I just block them. I’ve heard them all before and the trolls are so narrow-minded that there is no point engaging with them.
“I have to carry my ID everywhere we go and not just to buy alcohol. I’ve been refused when trying to buy a lottery ticket and even an energy drink. We recently went on holiday to Spain and had to show my passport and holiday booking to get an adult wrist band.”
