Model shoots husband lifeless earlier than turning gun on herself as ‘blood drips from balcony’
A model who shot her husband dead before taking her own life left a chilling scene of blood on their balcony that horrified onlookers as it dripped to the ground.
Sabrina Kasniqi, 27, killed her husband Pajtim Kasniqi, 34, at around 12.30am on Wednesday at the Beach Club II Hallandale condo tower, where flats can cost anywhere from £487,000 to more than £4million – partly due to the stunning panoramic views of Hallandale Beach, north of Miami. After the horrific incident, their bodies could be seen on the balcony, and as police began their investigation, blood started dripping down onto lower levels.
The couple, both of Albanian heritage, had immigrated to the US from Kosovo. Their main residence was in Astroia, Queens, in New York City, where Sabrina often worked as a model under her maiden name, Sabrina Dzaferovic. In the wake of the tragedy, Pajtim’s family has been mourning him online and criticising his wife for the senseless killing.

A nephew of the victim told MailOnline he couldn’t understand why she would’ve killed him. Meanwhile, his sister, Albana Munrett, said: “My Thanksgiving Eve wasn’t spent with my husband and children. It wasn’t spent with friends. It was spent with police officers, detectives and news reports talking about the vicious and senseless murder of my youngest brother by his wife.
“Pajtimi’s wife chose to take my brother’s life away from him when she shot five bullets into his chest. The person he trusted the most, the person he chose to spend his life with was the one who took his away from him. She betrayed him, his love and his trust. She shattered my family. My siblings and I will never be the same. I’m terrified my mother will not ever recover,” reports the Mirror.
His sister Adriana asked: “How am I gonna bury my baby brother?” A childhood pal, Rudy Kelmendi, said he’d been consumed with thoughts of their time in school together since he heard of his friend’s death. “All the laughter, the meals we ate, cutting class to play basketball in the snow covered courts, riding on the dump truck to hunts point to unload dirt, splashing Bronx science students with your M5 when it rained, and so many more,” he wrote.
The alarm was raised by a gunfire detection program called ShotSpotter, which notified local police who then rushed to the scene to find the couple dead. “Advising that both people are down on the balcony. Female on her back, one male on his face on the balcony,” a dispatcher was recorded saying by Broadcastify.
Police camera footage of the inside of the home showed a TV that had not been turned off, a teddy bear and a box of roses. Currently, Hallandale Beach Police Department have ruled that it was a murder-suicide but are yet to announce their thoughts on the motive.
