‘My faux boob exploded after punch to the breast – however I do not need to get it changed’
Franciska Szabo has opened up about the shocking moment her fake breast burst during preparations for her MMA debut – and she’s vowed to ditch implants for good.
The 33-year-old sensation, who’s been tearing it up in Dana White’s Power Slap league with a spotless 3-0 tally, is now gearing up for her first MMA scrap at Hargita Fight Night in Romania this Saturday. She’s set to throw down with Katalin Aranyi, who’s currently 0-1, and Szabo can’t wait to flaunt her slick striking moves and her trusty judo chops.
But it hasn’t been all smooth sailing for Szabo. Earlier this year, she suffered a gruesome setback when her breast implant gave way. Chatting exclusively with Mirror Fighting, Szabo explained: “It happened in MMA training probably. I just realised that there is a very high inflammation in my body and all my small injuries started really hurting in my body.

“So we tried to find out what’s going on, I had many medical examinations and one of my MMA friends she recommended me, ‘hey, you have to check your implant, maybe there is damage and this is what’s causing the high inflammation in your body’.
“Honestly, I don’t really remember in training… I got kicked multiple times or punched here but it didn’t really hurt especially when you are in the flow, you know? So after the MRI the doctor said that the right implant is completely damaged and then two days after one doctor immediately took it [out].”
Despite having the implant removed, Szabo confesses she will never have it replaced due to the difficulties her chest enhancement posed during MMA training. She continued: “And I’m never going to replace the implant because it’s very difficult to train with you know, boxing and everything? So I don’t really mind that this bad thing happened.
“But honestly, the recovery time probably it took just four weeks you know? It was pretty easy, pretty smooth and now I’m feeling even more myself.” While Szabo has also dabbled in pro-wrestling in the United States, the next chapter of her career seems to be in mixed martial arts with aspirations of fighting for the UFC or the PFL in the future.
On what motivated her to transition to MMA despite enjoying success in Power Slap, she explained: “Because I have done many combat sports before like wrestling, grappling, I have done some Jitsu. And because I got involved in Power Slap which is under the UFC, it just started to make me think, ‘MMA is of course the king of the combat sports so why not?’
“I’d already tried out almost every combat sport. I think MMA would be great. And I was also inspired by Ronda Rousey, Kayla Harrison both judo fighters and they did really good you know? So I think circumstances just guided me here and a desire to compete in MMA.”
Meanwhile, the combatant also has her eyes set on a lucrative Misfits Boxing deal in the near future. She added: “I’m 33, I already invested more than two years into my striking skills so I think it’s time to compete in Misfits. I’m a huge fan of it for a while, I think it’s not just a simple boxing league.
“They are more entertaining. I really love the organisation and everything so I think it would really suit me.” When asked about potential opponents, Szabo mentioned: “Elle Brooke, and I like Jully Poca I would really like to fight against her.”
