Homeless man dwelling on £200million mansion doorstep will get lavished with fancy items
A homeless man “loves” living on the doorstep of a £200million mansion in one of London’s poshest areas because he gets lavished with fancy gifts. Generous passers-by ply Swedish Anders Fernstedt with luxury goods from Harrods and Fortnum and Mason, and designer clothes from Armani.
He fell on hard times three months ago but now lives outside Rutland Gate, home to the UK’s most expensive property at £200million. He said: “I love it here. People are so generous, it’s incredible. There’s a lot of respect. I do not cause trouble, I just want to live a peaceful life and people are very kind.
“I did not choose it because of how wealthy people are. It does not matter a huge amount to me. I just like being at peace and I am here.

“Homeless people can get bad names but I am not trouble. I have been gifted the most amazing items and gifts. It really is incredible. There’s been hampers and gifts and clothes. I often do not know what to say, it leaves me speechless.”
Anders sleeps with many of the items he’s been given, including food from a Fortnum and Mason hamper valued at £5,000, reports the Mail. Harrods is only minutes away and that’s where many of his gifts are bought from. He is also handed cash.
Neighbour Rick Fernandes, 44, said he gave Anders food recently The art dealer said: “He’s a cool guy and causes us no problems. He’s sound. I hope he can get better. I believe in protecting people. I want to help the guy out. He just needs support.”
