American soccer reporter accuses Miami mascot of ‘hitting on her’ throughout recreation
An American sports reporter has accused another team’s mascot of ‘hitting on her’ mid-game.
Ashley Wenskoski, a sports anchor and reporter for CNY Central, was working during Miami Hurricanes’ NCAA visit to Syracuse Orange – when Miami’s mascot spotted his chance. However, not only did the mascot not land Ashley’s number – he was rumbled on social media.
“Sebastian the Ibis just kneeled down and asked for my number mid-drive Feels like he has bigger things to worry about with his team on the ropes in the 4th quarter at the Dome…but who am I to say,” Ashely wrote on X.

Syracuse would emerge as the winners of the clash, and there was more bad news for the mascot, with Miami’s loss keeping them out of the ACC Championship game in favour of Clemson and they’re in danger of missing the College Football Playoffs.
Following up after the game, Ashley joked: “And more importantly, Syracuse football won its biggest game in years & my team and I worked tirelessly to provide the best possible sports coverage Fran Brown has re-energized a program in a fantastic sports town.
“I guess Miami’s mascot simply couldn’t watch that 4th quarter. Can’t blame him!”
