EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Sadie Frost turns into a granny after daughter-in-law offers delivery to child woman
Once queen bee of the hedonistic Primrose Hill set in north London, Sadie Frost is now a grandmother.
The 59-year-old actress’s daughter-in-law – Charlotte Mallory – gave birth to her first child at the weekend. Tattoo artist Charlotte, 33, is wed to Finlay Munro Kemp, also 33, Sadie’s son with her first husband, Spandau Ballet guitarist Gary Kemp.
‘Welcome to the world Daya Wildrose Mallory Kemp,’ says Charlotte of this photo of her cradling their daughter in hospital. ‘Me and Fin are over the moon.’
Sadie, who also has three children with second husband Jude Law, said she felt ‘a huge sense of grief’ when they left home. She’ll be keen to look after baby, then.

Strict vetting for Darcey’s dresses
Dame Darcey Bussell admits her patience was tested when her Strictly Come Dancing outfits had to be vetted to avoid clashing with the show’s presenters Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.
‘There would be the odd outfit where they say ‘no’… it would often be what the other presenters are wearing and the judges,’ says the former Royal Ballet star, 55, who quit Strictly in 2019 after seven series.
‘I wasn’t very patient because I’d try about 30 outfits on and that was tough. Four weeks later, I’d have another one because if outfits weren’t going to fit with everyone else, you always have to have plan A, B, C and D.

‘The stylist had to always be there… they might say, ‘Oh, no, it’s not going to work… Tess is wearing so and so, and Claudia’s wearing this. It was, like, ‘OK, we can do without, and we’ll change’.’

When a staff member fell off her bike, the comedian recalls: ‘I texted Jenny and said, ‘I’m really sorry to hear you had an accident’, and put a kiss on the end.
‘She replied, [with] no kiss, and I thought, ‘I know what that means – down boy!’
He adds: ‘Our producer Daisy once said, ‘Hugging you is quite an unpleasant experience’, because I’m so anxious, so wary of being seen as some sort of sex fiend.’
