Youngest ever Omaze winner luggage ‘free’ £3m mansion then celebrates in a really uncommon manner
A 24-year-old nanny has bagged a Hollywood Hills inspired mansion on the Wirral worth over £3 million – for just £20 – and celebrated with a McDonald’s happy meal. Lauren Keene, the youngest Omaze Grand Prize Winner to date, has scooped the latest Omaze Million Pound House Draw and is now the proud owner of a contemporary, five-bedroom house complete with stunning coastal views, a cinema room and a heated outdoor swimming pool.
The plush property comes mortgage free and with all legal fees covered . . . and a partially used bed after Daily Star’s Kelly William’s faceplanted it during an exclusive tour last month. Lauren has also been given a hefty £250,000 in cash to help her settle in and can decide to either live in the house, rent it out for a supplementary income or sell it whenever she wishes to become a cash multi-millionaire.
If she decides to rent it out, local estate agents estimate that the property could fetch a long-term rental value of £8,000 per month. Full-time nanny, Lauren, was on her way to grab a McDonald’s drive-thru after work when Omaze called her to say she’d won a prize.

She said she didn’t mind skipping her post work snack as “missing that Maccies made me a multi-millionaire!” She did eventually celebrate with a McDonald’s later that evening, saying “it was a very, very happy meal indeed! “.
Lauren, a lucky lass from Gloucester, just couldn’t believe her eyes when she won a stunning £3 million pad for a mere £20 thanks to her Omaze subscription. This came just as her beau Ryan, a tech whiz from the vibrant city of Liverpool celebrated turning 25 – talk about perfect timing!
The couple, childhood sweethearts since the age of 18, have been on the hunt for their first love nest to ditch their saving routine and Lauren’s current abode with her dad Dan in his cosy two-bed flat.
Lauren quipped about getting the shock of her life one regular Friday, saying: “It was just an ordinary Friday really, I was heading for a McDonald’s after work when I got a call from Omaze telling me I’d won something. I was sceptical – and hungry – but went straight home to see what I’d won. The next thing we knew, the Omaze team were all there telling us we’d won a £3 million mansion! I was gobsmacked.
“The house is unreal! It really does feel like something you’d find in the Hollywood Hills! It’s made for parties and we can’t wait to get everyone we know up here for a big bash!” And she’s already eyeing the pool: “I love the pool, it’s a bit nippy today but it’s heated so I was tempted to have a quick dip.”
Lauren’s Merseyside miracle is perched on the edge of the Wirral Peninsula, blending the surrounding countryside into its modern architecture and design. The exclusive spot boasts jaw-dropping views from its wraparound terrace over the estuary and Irish Sea, plus it’s just a hop, skip and a jump from Caldy Beach.
The 4,750 square foot property, nominated for the RIBA Mansell house of the year, blends elements of America’s West Coast, mid-century modern homes in a unique composition that harmonises with the surrounding landscape. The ground floor boasts a welcoming entrance hall, a state-of-art cinema room, double bedroom with an en suite shower and toilet, boot room, laundry room and a double garage.
A feature staircase ascends to the first floor, home to a spacious, bespoke kitchen decked out with quartz worktops, a breakfast island, integrated Gaggenau double oven and Bertazzoni gas hobs. It also sports a Fisher and Paykel fridge and a sink fitted with a Quooker tap.
The first floor also houses an open plan living and dining space, featuring a show-stopping sunken sofa—perfect for Lauren to host family and friends. The generous main bedroom with en suite is also on this floor, along with three further double bedrooms, an office and a family bathroom.
The extensive private gardens are adorned with manicured lawns and mature Caldy trees. The large entertaining terraces, full width balconies, outdoor kitchen and heated swimming pool create an unrivalled outdoor living space.
Thurstaston Beach, Heswall and Parkgate salt marshes on the banks of the River Dee are all enjoyable options just a short stroll away. In addition to making Lauren a multimillionaire, the Omaze Million Pound House Draw, on the Wirral and The Great Escape House Draw, Wales, raised £3,500,000 for Scouts.
