Exact date snow will hit UK as Brits brace for Christmas freeze after Storm Darragh chaos
Britain is set to be battered by blankets for snow in little over a week, a new weather map suggests. Scotland, Wales and much of Northern Ireland and northern England will be affected by the arctic conditions that are set to last for a week.
Meanwhile, more southern cities such London will be drenched in buckets of rain. It comes as a large part of the country remains under a yellow weather warning for winds and showers as Storm Darragh continues to wreak havoc.
The snow is forecast to hit on December 16 and could last until December 21 – when snow is predicted in more northern regions, according to data collected by wxcharts.com.

It comes as a second man was killed in Storm Darragh yesterday. The man died after a tree fell on his car during the storm in Birmingham.
The driver was travelling near Sutton New Road in Erdington when a huge tree was uprooted by strong winds. The man has not been named yet. Police and fire crews have set up a cordon around the area tonight.
West Midlands Police said: “A man has sadly died after a tree fell and hit his car this afternoon.”
