I spent a fortune in King Charles’ favorite store – however the £3.50 sausage roll left me shocked
A man who visited King Charles‘ favourite shop has revealed how much he spent in the popular store and shared his feelings on a sausage roll that set him back £3.50.
Harrison Webb posted a video of him going into popular upmarket store Fortnum and Mason, which is located on London‘s Piccadilly next to The Ritz hotel.
While he spent £117 on a variety of items, including fresh pasta dishes, a coffee and scotch eggs, there was one snack in particular that caught his attention.
He was highly complementary of the store’s sausage roll, commenting: ‘The filling in there, the flavours, the herbs…the sausage meat is just so well-seasoned.
‘The pastry is brilliant it’s not crispy but I imagine if you put this in the oven this is going to be honestly unbelievable.’
Stressing the value for money despite its higher price, he remarked: ‘Value-wise, £3.50 for this I think is brilliant. I don’t think even regular do a sausage roll that big for £3.50.’

Taking to the comments section of the video, one user remarked: ‘That sausage roll looked tasty, and reasonably priced’. A second noted: ‘Even petrol station sausage rolls are sometimes more expensive than that, so £3.50 seems like good value.’
Harrison was pleased with most items but noted that regularly shopping at such a store would require a hefty budget.

It comes after Fortnum and Mason was investigated by council officials in March following complaints they may have been dressing up cheap factory farmed salmon as wild.
At Fortnums, its specially prepared salmon, such as a ‘Secret Smokehouse Salmon’, is as much as £75 per kilo.
Fortnums confirmed it has changed its labels after the concerns were raised.

It said: ‘Fortnum & Mason does not sell wild salmon, and all salmon on our fish counter is from RSPCA approved farms.
‘We label all salmon to let customers know the location of the farm, though in this instance we reviewed all labelling at our fish counter and found some labels where the provenance information was missing.
‘This is not normal practice, and these have now been corrected and we can confirm that all salmon is labelled to let customers know the location of the farm.’
