Peter Crouch has excellent response to Donald Trump’s 6ft 9 son Barron enjoying soccer
Peter Crouch had the perfect response when he saw clips of Barron Trump playing football on social media.
As a lanky lad, Crouch was empathetic towards the US President’s son, who currently stands at 6ft 9in, giving the diminutive in comparison 6ft 7in ex-Liverpool and England star a challenge when it comes to winning the ball in the air.
Barron, donning No.81, was akin to a young Crouch as he moved his frame around the centre of the park. The American was oddly graceful while managing to look like a giraffe that had stumbled across a footy pitch.

“#baller,” Crouch declared after seeing the clip, no doubt seeing something of himself in the youngster. “But can he do the robot, Peter,” one fan joked, referencing Crouch’s famous goal celebration.
“Get him in Arteta’s Arsenal team. He’d be amazing at set pieces,” a second replied. And another added: “But can he score a bicycle kick on a cold night at Anfield against Galatasaray?”

“I was always ‘lanky hitman’ or ‘beanpole striker’,” Crouch told The Guardian when he was asked about his upcoming documentary, That Peter Crouch Film. “I was never just ‘Peter Crouch’. Yeah, well I was being bullied. On a global scale!”
He added: “Being 16, 17, just kind of breaking through, and being abused just for the way I looked. It was tough. But I’d never let that show.
“Especially not in football, because it was so macho. I wouldn’t tell anyone how I was feeling. Not my mum, dad, friends, no one.”
Barron has experienced a fair bit of internet stardom in recent months, and Melania Trump credits Barron with winning his dad younger voters.
Melania Trump tried to keep him out of the limelight growing up, but has now acknowledged the New York University student is “a grown, young man”.
“I’m very proud of him, about his knowledge about politics and giving advice to his father,” she said. “He brought in so many young people. He knows his generation because nowadays the young generation, they don’t sit in front of TV anymore.”
