McDonald’s brings again viral limited-edition drink – however just for two weeks
McDonald’s is bringing back one of its most iconic drinks following the success of its first launch back at the end of summer – but you’ll have to be quick
McDonald’s has brought back an iconic drink by popular demand – but you’ll have to be quick. The Grimace Shake has returned to the menu following a successful limited edition run at the end of summer.
The drink will be on the fast food chain’s festive menu from today (Wednesday, December 11), and it’s sticking around for just two weeks or while stocks last. The drink features a blueberry flavoured syrup blended with a creamy milkshake base.
The drink’s revival has sparked joy across social media, with one enthusiast exclaiming: “It needs to stay, it’s absolutely delicious.”
Another said: “Should be a permanent drink like this.”
The Grimace Shake Cold Cup comes with a QR code allowing customers to donate to Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, which helps families with ill children over the holiday season, reports the Mirror.
The Grimace Shake is available in either medium or large sizes, with prices starting from £2.69 and £2.99, respectively.
The festive menu also features a Terry’s Chocolate Orange Pie filled with chocolate ganache, as well as a Terry’s Chocolate Orange McFlurry and a Galaxy Caramel McFlurry, a soft dairy ice cream swirled with Galaxy Chocolate stars and topped with a Galaxy Caramel sauce. The festive menu also welcomed back two hot drinks – the Galaxy Caramel Latte and Galaxy Caramel Hot Chocolate.
For those seeking something different, McDonald’s has launched the Cheesy McCrispy, a burger featuring 100% chicken breast fillet in a crispy coating, accompanied by lettuce, crispy onions, pink pickled onion chutney, bacon, two slices of cheese, and cheese sauce. Other burgers rejoining the line-up include the Big Tasty and Big Tasty (with Bacon).
The Christmas selection also includes the Cheese Melt Dippers with Rich Tomato Sauce. These breaded cheese dippers, made with Camembert, are served with a tomato dip and are available as a share box.
For the little ones, from November 20 to December 31, the Grinch will be visiting McDonald’s Happy Meal. Each limited-edition Happy Meal comes with one of eight Grinch and Friends toys, featuring plush Christmas decorations and Grinch family card games or the exclusive ‘Twelve Days of Grinchmas’ tale.
