OREO and Deliveroo have joined forces to launch a cookie delivery service, ensuring that Santa’s fireside snacks are not forgotten this Christmas.

This initiative serves as a festive safety net for parents who may have consumed all the traditional treats intended for Father Christmas.

The S.O.S service, available exclusively on the 23rd and 24th of December, was established in response to 59% of parents confessing they’ve forgotten to leave out cookies, milk, and a carrot on Christmas Eve.

It turns out that 37% of parents, caught up in the whirlwind of Christmas preparations and traditions, have forgotten to leave out Santa’s Christmas Eve treat.

A busy schedule was the main culprit for 32%, while 31% admitted to feeling overwhelmed during the festive season. Interestingly, 40% confessed to indulging in Father Christmas’s treats themselves.

As a result, a staggering nine out of ten parents have had to think on their feet, substituting with other not-so traditional food items such as apples (25%), pizza slices (22%), yoghurts (21%), and sandwiches (20%).

Over a third of parents have even had to replace Rudolph’s carrot with a potato (34%) or brussels sprouts (19%).

An OREO spokesperson, said: “Christmas is such a busy time of year that dashing about buying presents and preparing for festivities means little things can easily be missed or eaten!”

Due to the oversight a quarter of parents (26%) revealed their children were worried about Santa not visiting the following year. Moreover, 25% feared they might have spoiled the magic of Christmas for their little ones.

And a whopping 86% of these parents agreed on the importance of improvisation to keep the Christmas spirit alive.
