Premier League icon’s estranged love baby offers delivery however he is ‘not ‘
Ex-Premier League star urged to ‘do the right thing’ after his daughter gives birth but he is currently ignoring attempts to bring the family together once and for all
Premier League legend David Ginola has become a grandfather but may never meet the baby of his estranged love child, Joy Pinquier Ginola.
Joy is the daughter of David, 57, and Joelle, a woman who was forced to sue the former Newcastle and Tottenham star for child support after years of dismissals.
And Ginola’s daughter has now given birth to a daughter of her own, Jia, with partner Yohann, but the former France international who starred in the Premier League from 1995 to 2002 after spells also with Aston Villa and Everton, has yet to respond to any of her messages.

She told the Daily Mail: “I’m so happy to become a mum, but I am worried about our future. I doubt my dad will get to know my daughter as he doesn’t seem to have any interest in either of us.
“I would like for them to build a bond, but I can’t force him to do the right thing. I can only be the best mum I can and I am glad my daughter will have a great dad in Yohann. He will be the father figure for our girl that I never had.”
Ginola, who now works as a TV pundit for the BBC and TNT Sport among others and took part in ‘I’m a Celebrity’ in 2021, met Joelle in a French nightclub while playing for Brest where they hit it off before Joy was born in 1992.
Once he moved to the Premier League he became known for his good looks, long hair and incredible physique, as well as his classy playing style and dribbling skills.
He was part of Kevin Keegan’s ‘great entertainers’ Newcastle team that narrowly missed out on the Premier League in 1995-96, but did clinch the League Cup at Tottenham in 1998-99, when his performances earned him PFA Players’ Player of the Year honours.
The winger married his partner Coraline in 1991, with the couple divorcing in 2016. In 2021, the ex-Premier League ace told Joy, ‘you are a real Ginola,’ after meeting up with her but never got back in contact.
She added: “I sent a WhatsApp message letting him know he is going to be a grandfather. He replied, ‘Congratulations, I’m happy for you and your partner’. But he is still refusing to see me or play a role in my life.”
