And on Tuesday, the 76-year-old entertainer was pictured on a rare outing in Los Angeles, as he stopped by Trader Joe’s for groceries.
The seven-foot-tall star — who was diagnosed with acromegaly at age 20 — opted for a casual look, sporting a grey zip-up hoodie, black sweatpants and sneakers.
The actor — who also starred in the television series Twin Peaks (1990–1991) and had a guest role in Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987–1992) — shielded his head with a green bucket hat, and wore a pair of dark sunglasses.
After returning his cart, he was pictured making his way back to the car with the help of a walking stick.

He famously starred as the spooky butler Lurch in the 1991 film The Addams Family.
Lurch was the family butler, known for his tall and imposing figure, and deep rumbling voice.
Struycken reprised his role in Addams Family Values (the 1993 sequel) and the 1998 TV film Addams Family Reunion.
The Addams Family is a fictional family, created by American cartoonist Charles Addams, and known for their eccentric and macabre lifestyle.
The Family consists of Gomez and Morticia Addams, their children, Wednesday and Pugsley, and close family members Uncle Fester and Grandmama, their butler Lurch, and Pugsley’s pet octopus, Aristotle.
Struycken starred alongside Anjelica Huston as Morticia Addams, Raul Julia as Gomez Addams, Christopher Lloyd as Uncle Fester Addams / Gordon Craven, Christina Ricci as Wednesday Addams, and Jimmy Workman as Pugsley Addams.
In October, he reunited with The Addams Family cast at Comic Con in Los Angeles, more than 30 years on from when the film was released.
