Strictly stars Jowita Przystal and Vito Coppola’s ‘new relationship’ branded a ‘fauxmance’ by physique language knowledgeable as they reveal why the pair’s raunchy dance flooring ardour must be IGNORED

Strictly professionals Jowita Przystal and Vito Coppola‘s rumoured new relationship has been branded a ‘fauxmance’ by body language expert Judi James. 

Polish star Jowita, 30, who previously dated co-star Giovanni Pernice, 34, and was linked to partner Pete Wicks, 36, earlier this year, is said to have now been wooed by the Italian, 32, with one source claiming the chemistry ‘is palpable’ between them.

But body language expert Judi exclusively told MailOnline that the new coupling appears a ‘little obvious’ and ‘rather clunky’, suggesting it’s simply manufactured for the benefit of fans ahead of the show’s UK tour.

She also said Jowita and Vito’s sensual performances together prove nothing as they are both trained dancers who can easily ‘imply passion’ and pointed out that when not on the dance floor appear ‘bland’ in each other’s company. 

‘As a body language cynic the hop between faux-flirting with Pete Wicks to kindling some fan interest and a Strictly thirst trap with Vito for their tour seems a little obvious and rather clunky’. 

‘Good for them either way if this is romance or fauxmance but the fact Pete seems to be skipping the tour does sound like the perfect cue to do a soft launch for this new pairing’. 

‘We should ignore all the body language signals between them that come from any of their dances. They look sensual but it’s what dancers do, it’s part of their professional DNA. 

‘Both have enough acting skills to imply passion with a palm tree if called to for a routine’. 

Judi continued: ‘Their other pose looks bland, meaning that speculation will have to be based on what we’re being told and what fans buying tickets might spot on tour’.

‘They’re both lovely people so sound good as a couple on paper, as Tasha Ghouri would have said on Love Island, but based on these images the jury’s out for now, expect pics from them in the street holding hands to drop any time now to fan the flames in terms of fan interest!’.

Jowita and Vito previously sparked romance rumours earlier this year during the Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals live UK tour.    

A source told The Sun this week: ‘There have been several flings going on under the radar this year but people are talking behind the scenes.

‘The chemistry on set is palpable. But Vito is very respectful of Jowita and has been trying to woo her all series.

‘Now that her partner Pete Wicks is no longer around to distract her, Vito can finally take centre stage. The Strictly Come Dancing tour is set to be lively next year,’ they added.

MailOnline has contacted the BBC and both Jowita and Vito’s representatives for comment. 

It comes after The Mail on Sunday previously revealed that Pete has put a stop to his romantic liaison with Jowita – because he was determined to win the heart of I’m A Celeb’s Maura Higgins.

Sources close to Pete say he is telling friends he is completely smitten with the jungle star, 34, who he has been casually dating for the past five months.

When he began Strictly and met Jowita, Maura gave up any hope of the relationship continuing.

A friend said: ‘Before Maura entered the jungle, Pete wanted to make their relationship exclusive. 

‘But Maura, aware of Pete’s reputation and his close bond with Jowita, decided to slow things down. 

‘She gave him an ultimatum: either commit to her or let it go.So she went off a single woman. 

‘Since then, Pete has gone all-in, openly expressing his feelings to anyone who’ll listen.

Pete and Jowita have been competing on Strictly together since September and at the time insiders claimed ‘something has changed’ between the  pair.

Claiming they have been secretly seeing each other away from the show.

At the beginning of the series, they were said to have ‘sent tongues wagging’ between the cast and crew due to their sizzling chemistry, with viewers even spotting their close connection. 

Pete has also fuelled romance rumours with Jowita, saying: ‘Jowita is just… I could not have got a better partner.

‘I can’t sit here and go “she’s my life”. We don’t know each other that well. But what I do know is that she makes me feel good.

‘And that is really important and hopefully I make her feel good and that’s a really nice place to be, you know what I mean?’

Jowita and Giovanni previously dated last year, following her split from her long-term partner and fellow dancer Michael Danilczuk in 2022.

Rumours of a relationship between the pair began to circulate in December that year, with reports that the pair were the ‘worst kept secret’ at the BBC, and were even said to be kissing backstage at Strictly.

While the pair were also leaving supportive comments on each other’s social media posts – before being snapped out together on Valentine’s Day in February 2023.

However, they called it quits the following month, due to their ‘hectic work schedules’.
