Moment barber store buyer rushes from seat the place he’s having trim to assist cop being attacked by man

A barber shop customer jumped from his seat while cutting a haircut to help a police office being attacked by a man.

Kyle Whiting was in the barbers when he saw the man standing near the officer at a bus stop in Warrington, Cheshire.

The man – in a black jacket and grey hoodie – then hit the officer forcing him to the ground during the attack on Tuesday at around 11.40am.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Mr Whiting dashed out with his barber’s cape still around his neck to assist the officer.

He pulled the man off of the officer as other witnesses gathered around to help before police back up arrive.

Another cop from a marked police car parked around the corner and then ran over before a second squad vehicle then pulled up.

The officer who was attacked suffered a broken finger in the scuffle and also has sore ribs. A 50-year-old man was arrested following the incident.

Kyle, who was getting a trim in Haron Barber’s, said: ‘I was sitting in the chair getting the back of my head shaved.

‘The barber stopped and looking in the mirror for about 10 seconds, then went to the window and started recording.

‘I got up from my chair, it all happened so quickly. Grateful to have helped, and glad no one else was hurt.

‘My sister is a police officer, and if she was in this situation, I’d appreciate a Good Samaritan coming in to help her if it is safe to do so.

‘No one is paid enough to be punched in the face unless your Conor McGregor.’

UK Cop Humour, which shared the video, joked: ‘Not all heroes wear capes…but this one does.

‘Can we take a moment to applaud this fella, mid-haircut, but dashing out to aid a copper.

‘Not enough people like you around. Kyle was keeping an eye on what was going on outside, because his sister is a police officer.

‘Upon seeing the single-crewed officer attacked, he dashed out mid-haircut without a thought for his own safety to assist the officer.’
