When is the Carabao Cup semi-final draw? Date, time and the best way to watch

Carabao Cup semi-final dates have been confirmed with the draw set to take place after the conclusion of the quarter-final tie between Tottenham and Manchester United

Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United have secured their spots in the Carabao Cup semi-finals, but they’ll have to wait to discover their opponents for the two-legged tie in the new year.

All four Premier Leagues that are left will find out who their opponent will be after tonights quarter-final match between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United in north London.

The first leg of the semi-finals will kick off in the week of January 8, with the return matches scheduled for the week of February 5. The grand finale is slated for Wembley on March 16.

The draw will be live on Sky Sports Main Event. It will follow the match at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium where Ange Postecoglou will take on Ruben Amorim at 8pm – the game could go to penalties if it finishes level after 90 minutes.

Arne Slot, serving a one-match touchline ban at St Mary’s, took Liverpool to a record 20th League Cup semi-final.

Darwin Nunez scored the opener before Harvey Elliott, who has been sidelined for most of the season due to injury, doubled their lead. Cameron Archer managed to pull one back for the Saints, who had Simon Rusk as interim manager while the club seeks a replacement for Russell Martin.

Newcastle got off to a flying start against Brentford at St James’ Park, with Sandro Tonali scoring for Eddie Howe’s side just eight minutes into the game. He netted a second goal just before half-time against Thomas Frank’s weary travellers. Fabian Schar also made his mark on the game.

Jean Philippe Mateta initially put Crystal Palace ahead at the Emirates, but Gabriel Jesus, who hadn’t found the back of the net for a year, scored an impressive hat-trick to steer Mikel Arteta’s lads into the semi-finals. However, ex-Gunner Eddie Nketiah did manage to score a late consolation goal.
