Nicole’s bittersweet Christmas: Kidman touches down in Australia along with her husband Keith Urban and their two daughters for his or her first Christmas since her mom Janelle’s demise
Nicole Kidman touched down in Australia on Saturday to reunite with her extended family for their first Christmas since her beloved mother Janelle’s death.
The Aussie actress, 57, has had a difficult few months since Janelle died at the age of 84 in September – just hours before Nicole won an award at Venice Film Festival.
She is now preparing for her first Christmas without her mother and has flown back to Sydney to reunite with her family as they rally around to support one another.
Nicole was spotted touching down at Sydney’s International Airport with her husband Keith Urban and their two daughters Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14.
She put on a very loved-up display with musician Keith, 57, as the couple sweetly walked hand-in-hand through arrivals after disembarking their Qantas flight.
Nicole, who lives in Nashville with Keith and their two daughters, flashed a small smile as she appeared happy to have returned to her native Sydney for the holidays.

For her travels, she cut a stylish figure in a black T-shirt and denim straight leg jeans, which she styled with a smart navy blazer and white trainers.
Nicole cut a low-profile as she shielded her eyes with a pair of dark shades and carried her essentials in a large black handbag.
Meanwhile, Keith kept it casual as he looked travel ready in a black T-shirt and dark trousers, which he teamed with white trainers.
He too sported a pair of aviator shades and carried a backpack while he walked holding hands with Nicole, who he married back in 2006.
They were joined by their two teenage daughters Sunday and Faith, who walked closely behind them after they got off their long-haul flight.
It is tradition for Nicole to jet back to Australia over the Christmas period and they often host New Year’s Eve celebrations at their Sydney Harbour apartments.
Over the past ten years, Nicole has purchased two penthouses in the exclusive North Sydney Latitude building and then combined them to make a mega-apartment.
While back in Sydney this Christmas, Nicole will no doubt be reuniting with her younger sister Antonia, 54, and her family for the holidays.

The Kidman clan have already had a festive catch-up in recent weeks after Antonia jetted out to visit Nicole in Nashville at the start of the month.
Antonia was joined by her daughters Lucia, 26, and Sybella, 17, for the trip as they jetted over to stay in Nicole’s $4.89million Nashville mansion.
Lucia, who lives in Sydney, shared festive snaps from the holiday to her Instagram at the time as she documented the trip.
She was joined by her boyfriend Henry Poole, while Antonia’s husband Craig Marran also jetted over with them.
Nicole’s sister Antonia shares her two daughters and two sons Hamish, 23, and James, 21, with late businessman Angus Hawley, who died in 2015.
She also has two younger sons Nicholas, ten, and Alexander, eight, with her second husband Craig.
The Kidman clan have all been rallying around each other since their matriarch Janelle sadly passed away in September.

‘Today I arrived in Venice to find out shortly after, that my beautiful, brave mother has just passed,’ Nicole revealed in a statement read out on her behalf by director Halina Reijn upon her win.
‘I am in shock and I have to go to my family, but this award is for her, she shaped me, guided and made me.
‘I am beyond grateful I get to say her name to all of you through Halina, the collision of life and art is heart-breaking, and my heart is broken. We love you all.’
Nicole and her immediate family returned to Australia for the funeral just weeks later, where they were supported by Antonia’s family and many of their close friends.
She was born in Hawaii and raised in Sydney with her sister Antonia by Janelle and her psychologist father Antony, who died in September 2014 of a heart attack.
