Ronnie Wood’s spouse Sally, 46, reveals the key to their pleased 12 12 months marriage as she offers an perception into life with the rocker, 77

Ronnie Wood‘s wife Sally has revealed the secret behind the couple’s happy 12-year marriage.

The couple have been married since 2012 after exchanging vows during an intimate ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel in London following a six-month romance, with Rod Stewart serving as best man.

The pair met at her place of work, the Theatre Royal, nine years beforehand. They went on to welcome daughters Gracie Jane and Alice Rose in 2016.

And now in a new interview, Sally, 46, opened up about life with the Rolling Stones rocker, 77, and gave an insight into their happy marriage.

Sally told The Mirror: ‘We spend a lot of time together – we get on really well. I feel we’re very lucky, because we love being at home with the girls and watching telly and going to nice restaurants. We do all of that anyway.’

Meanwhile, Sally told that far from living a rock and roll lifestyle, the couple love nothing better than staying up late to read books and watch the TV, adding that they’re ‘night owls’.

Sharing a candid glimpse into their day to day lives, she continued: ‘I take the girls to school every day, but Ronnie at 2,3,4,5 in the morning, goes to sleep. I think because he’s so programmed to go on stage until 10 or 11 o’clock at night, so he has to wind down after that. I’ve always worked at night in the theatres. We’re just naturally night people. Normally Ronnie gets up at midday.’

But while the couple are perfectly content with life as it is, Sally – who is Ronnie’s third wife – told how she wouldn’t rule out the couple renewing their vows down the line.

She said: ‘It’s a great idea. We did a little thing when we were five years married. We went to our local church, and did it ourselves with the girls, and now we’re at 12. I guess we’ve been busy with the twins.’

Last year, Sally praised her musician partner, but admitted that she wished they didn’t have such a big age gap.

She told The Telegraph: ‘He’s on my level completely. He’s a very nice and caring person. Oh God, don’t use the word “nice”, it’s so boring. He’s very funny, kind and affectionate and welcoming.’

Discussing their age gap, she said: ‘Um, well, I know (the age gap’s) there. And I wish it wasn’t, but it is. I think I had to say: “I can’t do this because of the age”.

It comes after last month Sally proved to be the ever supportive wife as she joined Ronnie at the launch of an exhibition of his own work at the Andrew Martin shop on Walton Street in Chelsea.

Ronnie looked appropriately smart in a black two-piece suit and crisp white dress shirt as he greeted onlookers before making his way inside.

Away from his work with The Rolling Stones, Wood has won accolades – and earned a tidy sum – through his passion for art.

The musician has made more than £1million through his paintings, with accounts filed in 2023 revealing made a massive £1,437,277 in profit the previous year.

He discovered his talent for painting at Ealing Art College in the 60s alongside fellow stars Freddie Mercury and Pete Townshend.

After finding fame, Ronnie picked up a paint brush again in the 80s.

He previously said: ‘When I am painting, I lose track of time. I get engrossed. It’s great’.

One of his paintings, unveiled in March 2023, depicted The Rolling Stones – among them late drummer Charlie Watts – performing on a street in Havana.
