The 10 craziest Christmas items from luxurious automobile manufacturers – together with a £330k electrical BOAT!
- From Porsche soundbars to pampered pooches – we’ve picked the best Christmas gifts luxury car brands offer
- And we’ve kept the most jaw-dropping for last (but you’ll need deep pockets)….
It’s almost time to unwrap those presents under the tree.
If you’re a last minute shopper in a panic because you’re still after the perfect present for a petrolhead, then we might be able to help…
That is, if you’ve got some serious money to spend.
Because, while many car brands have a range of clothing and accessories, luxury marques have items in their festive catalogues that are not only mind blowing but also out-of-this-world expensive.
So we’ve scoured the car Christmas gift guides of 10 premium marques to cherry-pick our favourite items.
Sadly these might just be fantasy presents because some cost more than the luxury cars themselves!
1. Porsche 911 Soundbar 2.0 Pro
Price: £8,300
Porsche has a soundbar that includes an exhaust system from a 911 GT3 sports car – and it has an eye-watering price (but at least its as much as a tenth of the cost of the car itself)
From the sound of turbo charged exhausts to home speaker systems, Porsche delivers it all.
The 911 Soundbar 2.0 Pro is a limited-edition (500 piece) speaker made from the original Porsche 992 GT3 exhaust.
The German sports car maker promises ‘0 to goosebumps’ and with the 2.1.2 Virtual Surround System and Dolby Atmos it should deliver a 300-watt roar.
The speaker offers versatile connectivity with 4K compatible HDMI ports and Bluetooth 5.0, and streams with Apple Airplay 2. It also has Google Chromecast built-in.
Hung on the wall or placed in the provided base, it’s nothing if not versatile – which is a good thing as it costs £8,300.
2. Mercedes AMG cabin suitcase
Price: £676.80
This Mercedes AMG suitcase will make you the best packed person at the airport but style doesn’t come cheap – the 40cm x (l) 24cm (w) x 55cm (h) is almost £700
If you like to travel and looking smart on the plane is a must, this is the perfect gift for the international jetsetter.
Mercedes sells this streamlined cabin suitcase – an idea present for the AMG enthusiast.
‘Ready for new adventures far away from home’, the AMG case has two removable dividers and a zipped compartment as well as a TSA combination lock.
Engraved AMG logos give it that luxury edge, and legitimise Mercedes charging almost £700 for a 40cm x (l) 24cm (w) x 55cm (h) plastic box with wheels.
3. Bentley Mulliner inspired 6-in-1 Trike
Price: £595
Is this the most glamorous pushchair of all? Bentley’s 6-in-1 Trike is £595 and but it offers practicality as well as diamond-quilted luxuriousness
For the kids, but for the parents, too – the Mulliner Trike is quite the stroller.
Suitable for children aged 10 months and above, Bentley says the Mulliner inspired Trike is ‘the perfect choice for parents who want to give their child a luxurious and stylish ride’.
Ultra-glamorous, it combines ‘style, comfort and functionality’ and Mulliner features such as a diamond-in-diamond quilted seats, flash wheels, pedals and footrests.
There’s even a quilted push bag.
Unlike Bentley cars though, the Trike doesn’t come assembled by the world’s best engineers – so you’d better get your DIY skills spruced up before Christmas.
4. Tesla Cyberquad for kids
Price: £1,450
The Cybertruck-inspired Cyberquad is the ultimate electric buggy for kids this Christmas – and will keep them off their mobile phones
From pushchairs to ride on toy cars, these days there’s no end to the dream gifts for young car enthusiasts.
Elon Musk’s Cybertruck might be for the rich and famous, but the Cybertruck-inspired electric Cyberquad can be driven by every kid (if their parents have deep pockets).
It has 12 miles of range – that’s a lot of loops of the garden – and a top speed of 8mph.
Suitable for kid aged eight to 12, there’s two speed settings and a reverse gear which manages 4mph.
As well as looking cool enough for Bruce Wayne (and a damn sight better than the Cybertruck itself) the Cyberquad has a full steel frame, a cushioned seat and rear suspension with rear disk braking and LED light bars.
Plug in and charge the 24V 188Wh lithium-ion battery with an AC charger and your offspring will have 350W at their disposal.
Like the Cybertruck, the £1,450 Cyberquad is also likely only for the well-heeled among society.
5. Ferrari court shoes in neoprene with livery motif
Price: £1,250
If you know someone who loves iconic red-soled Louboutins, then why not take it up a notch and give them these Ferrari-red court shoes?
With Ferrari you can put your best foot forward this Christmas with four-inch heels from the Fiorano brand.
These red-hot court shoes in neoprene have ‘aerodynamic construction’ (maybe they were shaped in the same wind tunnel as the recent 12Cilindri) and a ‘distinctive flared silhouette’.
More fun than a Louboutin yet with an equally eye-catching red colour, these Ferrari shoes are Italian-made by Ferrari’s own luxury fashion house, led by creative director Rocco Iannone.
They are embellished with the Ferrari embossed livery motif and created through high-frequency printing that recalls the design of the iconic Ferrari GT Bags.
While not cheap, they’re at least a tenth of the price of a prancing horse motor.
6. Master & Dynamic MW75 Bugatti Wireless Headphones
Price: £539
The MW75 headphones styled off Bugatti’s Chiron Super Sport offer best-in-class talk and 32 hours of battery life as well as three modes of ANC including adaptive noise-cancellation – and will make a very slick present for a music connoisseur
Who needs Beats when you’ve got Bugatti?
Among the range of Master & Dynamic x Bugatti limited edition ‘sound tools’ are the MW75 Active Noise-Cancelling Wireless Headphones – the perfect pair of over-ear headphones for a car lover.
Made from lightweight anodized aluminium and lambskin, they mirror the materials found in the handcrafted hyper sports cars from Molsheim, France, and look just as good.
Finished in a combination of Nocturne and Jet Orange, the deep orange is applied in honour of the Bugatti World Record Edition vehicles, including the Chiron Super Sport, and the grille – that houses the beryllium drivers – is inspired by the famous Bugatti horseshoe grille.
The MW75s offer best-in-class talk and 32 hours of battery life as well as three modes of ANC including adaptive noise-cancellation.
7. Rolls-Royce Champagne Chest
Price: On request
A glass of bubbly? The Rolls-Royce Champagne Chest is one of the most extravagent ways to sip a glass of the good stuff, but for RR customers it’s just another added luxury
Rarely is the festive period complete without champers, and luckily Rolls-Royce sells a ‘crafted by artisans’ Champagne Chest for the most luxurious cork popping moments this Christmas.
The hand-polished chest chassis is ‘swathed’ in Natural Grain leather and ‘flanked’ by exquisite wood – the same materials found in Rolls-Royce cars.
The chest is said to open ‘effortlessly’ at the push of a button to reveal the ‘perfectly appointed champagne set’.
Inside you get: a removable serving tray, a champagne bottle thermal flask (75cl), four hand-blown champagne flutes, a leather carrying sleeve, four embroidered napkins, a mains charging cable and adaptor, and a 12v charging cable. Oh and of course two thermal caviar bowls (for 30g tins) with Mother of pearl caviar spoons and two accoutrement bowls with three removable porcelain bowls.
The caviar and accoutrement bowls are configurable, fear not (as is the chest to your Rolls-Royce car).
Rolls-Royce promises the chest ‘contains everything you need to make any occasion a cause for celebration, whether you’re on the deck of a superyacht or the terrace of your private residence’.
The only thing you’re missing is the Rolls-Royce itself… but there’s always next Christmas.
In the meantime, a glass of bubbly anyone?
8. Land Rover portable rinse system (for your pooch)
Price: £300.43
A present that lets your dog get as muddy as it likes but keeps your car (and home) sparkling clean, Land Rover’s portable rinse system is worth every penny
No drive is complete without man’s best friend, just preferably not a muddy one.
Luckily, Land Rover’s clever portable rinse system lets you give your four-legged buddy a quick wash before it hops in the back – so your dog can run riot through puddles, rivers and fields getting as dirty as it likes.
The foldable and easy to store system is pressure powered and requires no external power source of batteries.
And you can also wash off bikes wetsuits or surfboards, so it’s a sensible buy for any outdoor driver as well as their dog.
At a smidge over £300, it’s a worthwhile investment if a family member is particularly protective of the car’s interior.
9. Alpine x Lapierre Overvolt GLP III SE bike
Price: £10,699 (€12,000)
French F1 team Alpine and French cycling house Lapierre have made a beast of an electric mountain bike for thrill seekers and gravity-defying sportspersons. Perfect for an adrenaline start to the New Year
Alpine, the French Formula One team and 110 sports car maker, has collaborated with Lapierre, maker of renowned French bikes ridden by champions, to create the Overvolt GLP III SE bike.
For cycling aficionados this is an electric mountain bike of electric azure-coloured dreams. Lapierre claims it balances forces and reduces stress at high speeds ‘so successfully’ thanks to the ‘revisisted kinematics’ of the carbon frame and the ‘recentering of the masses’.
For non cycling aficionados, this bike allows the roughest of mountain trails to be ridden with more power, better balance and higher intensity.
And it looks as good as the Alpine 110 too.
10. Candela C-8 Polestar edition
Price: £333,820 (€400,000)
Last year Swedish EV brand Polestar announced a swish collaboration with electric boat pioneers Candela.
The C-8 Polestar edition is the outcome: a zero-emissions boat that delivers electric performance on the water with the cool, calm and collected styling Scandis are known for.
The solid grey exterior and lighter grey tone interior goes perfectly with Polestar’s Scandinavian luxury, and the custom, hand-stitched carbon fibre upholstery blends comfort and aesthetic for a very quiet, very eco-conscious day on the water.
Like all C-8’s, the new Polestar Edition uses the same battery and charging technology as the premium hatchback Polestar 2. This gives a range of 57NM, a top speed of 27kt, and DC charging from 10 to 80 per cent in less than 30 minutes.
It’s a six-person (one driver and five passengers) capacity watercraft and can sleep a small family.
Oh and it doesn’t actually glide through the water, but rather above it – so that’s a fun, head-turning trick to treat the family with this Christmas.
