‘Tyson Fury will beat Oleksandr Usyk as a result of he is world’s greatest – that is how he’ll do it’
This time I don’t want to see Tyson Fury rely on the judges. He can get the job done inside the distance tonight.
I expect him to do so. I know many people will say ‘Of course you do, you’re his promoter’ but that’s my honest opinion.
Tyson will be back as the best heavyweight on the planet when he faces Oleksandr Usyk. I’ve never doubted that he is. Even in defeat last May. It was a close fight, a split decision yet some people seem to think it was a one-sided demolition job by Usyk.
No chance. The scorecards speak for themselves. I thought Tyson nicked it but he didn’t get the nod. That’s boxing.
But, for me, the defeat didn’t take anything away from my belief that he is the best in the world and he will prove me right again tonight in Riyadh.
We know he has to pack in some of the showboating which gave Usyk a way back into the first fight. What I want to see is the Tyson from rounds three to seven across the whole fight. If he does that then he will become a three-time heavyweight champion.
This is his biggest fight. Tyson won’t say that himself but, trust me, it is and this will be a night which will be remembered as one of the best of his career.
After Usyk beat him, so many anointed the Ukrainian as the best of the generation and tried to devalue Fury’s achievements.
I’m glad they did because when Tyson gets his revenge tonight they will have to give him even more credit because he will have beaten the man they praised so much.

How does he do it? He has to remain focused throughout, keep his composure and be the boss in the fight. The body will be a key target area as we know Usyk doesn’t like those shots and then the uppercut.
Usyk is a fine fighter but he is not hard to hit. Tyson needs to land often and with intent. Tyson has never disappointed. When he was in the earlier stages of his career, people said he was boring.
How that has proven to be far from the truth given the drama in most of his fights since he returned to the ring in 2018. Their first fight was a classic in May and I believe it will have taken more out Usyk. He won’t be the same fighter this time.
Tyson will win. He will stop him inside seven or eight rounds.
