Liam Gallagher poses with 20 family and friends for cheery Christmas put up – with a really notable exception

Liam Gallagher poses up with 20 friends and family for a cheery Christmas Day social media post – but there is no sign of warring brother Noel.

Liam can be seen grinning and waving in the back row of his festive snap alongside his fiancée Debbie Gwyther to the left.

Right in front of them is Liam and Noel’s mother Peggy. While two positions to the right in the image is Liam and Noel’s brother Paul, sporting a grey beard.

Even Debbie’s sister Katie Gwyther and her kids are sat in the front row in this image thought to have been taken on Christmas Day at Liam’s 11-bedroomed mansion house in Stroud, Gloucestershire which he rents for £19,000 a month.

But curiously, Liam’s older brother Noel, the important other member of Oasis which are reformed in readiness for a world tour next summer, is nowhere to be seen.

Scores of Liam’s 3.8 million followers on X, where this picture was posted earlier today, make mention of Noel’s absence with a couple of them amusingly suggesting that Noel must be the one taking the family snap.

One follower even mocked up a picture of Noel dressed as Santa with a camera in his hand.

Older brother Noel, who is named after the French word for the big day, has previously spoken of not being a big fan of Christmas.

Maybe that’s because he’s never had a Christmas No1 single as a band or as a solo star.

But his absence here suggests the warring pair still have some making-up to do. The brothers have been famously estranged for years.

Oasis split moments before their gig in Paris in August 2009 when an almighty bust up which had been brewing for months ended in them trading blows and Liam wielding Noel’s guitar ‘like an axe’ backstage.

They didn’t speak for years afterwards until very recently, when, with both brothers hit by a string of expensive divorces and with mediocre solo careers, very large sums of money were offered to them for a reunion tour.

Experts estimate they will bank £5 million a show for 30 shows worldwide, meaning the pair will earn £150 million between them – £75 million each just from the ticket profits.

They are also predicted to earn ‘tens of millions’ from merchandising, a film made by a streaming giant about the reunion tour, sponsorship deals, and renewed interest in their music.

However, reports have claimed Liam and Noel have not met since the photoshoot to announce the bands reunion back in the early summer.

Sources have suggested the fiery pair are being kept apart by their respective management teams so they don’t fall out and scupper the entire tour.

It also recently emerged that neither of them will be paid a penny until they appear on stage either – also to make sure there are no fall-outs.

Meanwhile in September, Liam took 20 of his closest friends – including Debbie, Katie and some of his children – to Ibiza for a week at a cost of £75,000.

Liam booked the nine-bedroomed finca named Fincadelica Xarraca – which has its own nightclub – on the northernmost tip of the party isle from September 23rd to the 30th and piled in 20 of his nearest and dearest for the monster seven-day shindig.

Intriguingly, despite Liam’s gathered gang including his closest confidantes, his older brother Noel was not among the favoured number. Noel curiously remained in London.

Perhaps with so much on the table for the £400 million Oasis reunion world tour next year, both brothers, who are famous for their warring, are keeping their distance until it matters… on stage next summer.

A source at Fincadelica Xarraca said the week-long party was well-behaved: ‘Liam and his group were all super kind, friendly, down to earth and really low key. They were wonderful guests.’

That said however, the source added that Liam booked the place partly so that his group could party – legally and loudly – through until dawn despite Ibiza’s draconian new noise and partying restrictions.

The source said: ‘Fincadelica Xarraca has its own soundproofed ocean front nightclub room making it the perfect place for our guests to dance till dawn. In Ibiza you can no longer play music outside after 11pm, so this gets around Ibiza’s sound restrictions.’

The soundproofed nightclub and cinema room accommodates up to 80 guests with 270-degree sea views, a high spec audio-visual system and 15ft-long marble bar.

Joining them at the Ibiza party villa were Liam’s fiancee’s sister Katie.

Also thought to be there were three of Liam’s children from various ex-wives, Lennon, his son with Patsy Kensit, Gene, his son with Nicole Appleton and Molly Moorish, his daughter with former amour Lisa Moorish.

Also there, said the family friend, were: ‘Some very close friends of Liam’s – those who have stuck in there thick and thin. People keeping him level-headed of late while the reunion has been organised.’

The family friend added: ‘A load of us jetted off after Malta for a week in Ibiza but got back Monday. No Noel definitely did not come.

It was just just a bunch of close friends. The idea was that it was to celebrate the end of Liam’s solo career, the return of Oasis, and as it happens, also Liam’s 52nd birthday which fell on September the 21st.

A time to really decompress for Liam. Everyone had the most amazing time.’

Fincadelica Xarraca is a nine-bedroomed villa on the north coast of the island. It is priced from £108,000 per week to £58,000 per week depending on the time of year.

Liam’s party week cost him £75,000 for the villa rental. In that price, he got a full retinue of staff including a private chef, chef’s assistant, potwash, morning and evening waiter, a house manager, a car and chauffeur, three additional cleaners and a night security guard.

And the choice of venue was befitting of a man about to become very wealthy indeed thanks to the upcoming UK, north America and world tour title Oasis Live 25.
