Mohamed Salah message from followers to Liverpool homeowners FSG is ‘nonsense assertion’
Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian king. One of the greatest players to have played in the Premier League.
It is unfathomable to think how good Liverpool’s talisman has been this season. He’s 32, he should be slowing down. But he’s not. He might be even getting better. Sometimes anyways.
There are still moments he goes quiet in games. But when he’s on it, he’s unstoppable. This season he always seems to be in the right place at the right time, too.
Two goals and two assists against Tottenham last weekend meant he was on double figures for both goals and assists even before the Christmas turkeys were tucked into.
Then he scored a sublime goal against Leicester City at Anfield on Boxing Day to secure Arne Slot’s side another three points. The precision finish took his goal involvements for the Premier League season to 27 – 16 goals and 11 assists. And his total up to a staggering 250 – 171 goals and 79 assists – in 250 Premier League starts for the Reds.

Yet his contract expires next summer and he is just a matter of days away from being eligible to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club.
There is no point just saying FSG and Liverpool should give him how much he wants to sign a new deal. It’s a nonsense statement when we have no clue what he wants.
But if he doesn’t stay at Liverpool and moves on to another country then the Premier League would be a lesser competition for it. Rival fans may rejoice but he would be missed.
