Yorkshire puddings might look like a piece of cake, but often they turn out to be a kitchen nightmare: flat, misshapen, or with a dreaded soggy bottom. Foodie guru and Daily Yum food blog star Irina has come to the rescue with her fail-proof 13-minute air fryer method that guarantees no oven is needed.

She swears by the air fryer saying it “gives the pudding a nice crispy exterior while keeping the inside light, airy and fluffy”. She described her awe-inspiring method, she said: “The air fryer Yorkshire pudding is a five-ingredient show-stopping golden puffy buns that are made in the air fryer in minutes and risen to a jaw-dropping height and shape.”

To whip up this wonder, grab either ramekins or silicone muffin liners – with Irina tipping her hat to the latter for giving puddings that perfect rise and an easeful slide right out of the cup, reports the Express.

You’ll need these bits to get started:

A cup of milk

A cup of flour

Three medium eggs

Half a teaspoon of salt

Two tablespoons of oil

Method:

Mix up all the ingredients until your batter is as smooth as silk, with no lumps.

Oil the muffin cups generously and put them in your air fryer to heat for five minutes.

Carefully pour your batter into the preheated cups – but only fill them halfway to leave room for the batter to rise.

Let them cook at 190 degrees for 13 minutes, flipping them after 10 minutes to ensure the bottoms are cooked through and golden.

Irina said: “Once you open it, be prepared for the jaw-dropping effect. You will be amazed at how beautiful they look and how much they have risen.

“The result is golden, fluffy Yorkshire puddings that are sure to impress your family and friends.”
