BREAKING Darts star Martin van Gerwen drops f-bomb reside on air forcing Sky Sports apology
Darts titan Michael van Gerwen forced a TV presenter to apologise on his behalf after dropping the f-bomb live on air following his World Darts Championship semi-final victory.
The Dutchman appeared to say he’d “not won f*** all yet after overcoming Chris Dobey to reach the final of the tournament at Ally Pally.
Speaking after the win to Sky Sports, van Gerwen said: “I can be happy with the performance. Of course I wasn’t playing as explosive as I was in the last game, but I was efficient. When I had to do things, I did it at the right moment and that’s what you have to do if you want to win games.
“I’m here with a mission and a target. You will have ups and downs but today I showed a good mentality. Even when things were not going my way, I was able to produce good stuff at the right moments. That gives me a lot of confidence.
“We’re not even close yet, we’re still so far away. Tomorrow will be another day and the title is still far away. That’s what you have to keep telling yourself because I don’t want to make mistakes. I want to keep battling with everything I’ve got in my body.
“I love what I do, I love performing on this stage. It’s my passion, it’s my life – after family. I really enjoyed it.”
