Meghan Markle ‘units eyes on public independence from Harry’ with solo Instagram

Meghan Markle has signaled a move towards a ‘fresh start’ and ‘more public independence’ from Prince Harry with a new Instagram account, a body language expert has said. The Duchess of Sussex launched her new solo social media profile with a video of her frolicking on a beach.
Darren Stanton says Meghan Markle ’s choice of clothing is ‘significant’ and a hint of more solo projects set to come in 2025. The account was launched on New Year’s Day and has already racked up over 800,000 followers.
In her debut post, she has shared a short clip of herself frolicking by the ocean alone, writing ‘2025’ in the sand. And speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, body language and behavioural expert Stanton has weighed in on what Meghan might be hinting at in her new post.
He said the fact she chooses to wear ‘loose fitting, white clothing’ alongside the image of her by the ocean shows she wants to ‘mark a fresh start’ and signify ‘more public independence’ this year.
Elsewhere, Darren notes white is a colour of ‘inner strength and peace’, and suggests she is trying to portray she will be going ‘from strength to strength with solo projects’ in 2025.
He adds that Meghan looks ‘super relaxed’ in the new clip, and is likely using the piece to remind the world she is ‘independent’ and ‘confident within herself’, remarking Prince Harry’s absence is ‘significant’.
Speaking on behalf of Betfair Slots, Darren Stanton says: “Apart from the obvious, the detail of writing the new year in the sand, the fact she’s wearing loose fitting white clothing on the beach is significant, coupled with her being by the ocean, this image is her saying non verbally, this marks a fresh start for me.
“White is a colour of inner strength and peace. Not so much being a fresh start without Harry but she’s marking new beginnings, and wants to signal she will be more publicly independent.
“It feels she is putting the message of being more solo this year at the forefront. She’s likely trying to suggest she will be attending fewer events with Harry and doing more engagements on her own, with lots of new exciting projects.
“Filming at the sign of the ocean is symbolic to new adventures yet to have. She’s trying to portray this idea that she’s going from strength to strength and will continue to do so throughout 2025. She is marking that new solo projects are soon to come, otherwise Harry would have been there too running around in the sand alongside her.
“She looks super happy, super relaxed, almost dance like in her moves. She’s signalling freedom and individuality, solitude in a positive sense. She’s reminding people she is an independent person and confident within herself. It is clearly significant that she hasn’t included Harry in that segment as well.”
