Darts fans have fumed ‘the games gone’ after half-and-half scarves were spotted at the Ally Pally.
Luke Littler and Michael van Gerwen are the last two standing in the Paddy Power PDC World Darts Championship and punters have taken the chance to cash in the on the clash by flogging half-and-half scarves.
However, after images of the scarves emerged on social media, fans were quick to slam the monstrosities: “You can’t have a half-and-half scarf for a one v one event. It’s the law of the land for pity’s sake,” one fan fumed.
“First MvG-Littler half and half scarf spotted. Game’s gone,” a second said.
However, Littler himself admitted he wanted one, telling the BBC: “Yeah, it’s going to be massive. After last year we’ve seen with me and Luke, the half-and-half scarves. So hopefully people can make Luke Littler Michael van Gerwen half-and-half scarves.”
Littler is looking to go better than last time out, when he fell at the final hurdle to Luke Humphries.
The Runcorn-born darting sensation has dispatched Ryan Meikle, Ian White, Ryan Joyce, Nathan Aspinall and Stephen Bunting en route to the final with the Dutchman.
It took the 17-year-old a couple of games to move throw the gears, but starting turn on the style in his quarter-final with Aspinall. The young sensation was in a different post-code when it came time for the semi-final with Stephen Bunting.
