Arsenal cult hero Granit Xhaka exhibits off astonishing new look as he will get hair transplant
Former Arsenal captain Granit Xhaka has shown off his new style after the Bayer Leverkusen star and Swiss international underwent a hair transplant
Former Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka has undergone a hair transplant and showed it off on a skiing holiday with his family.
Ozone Hair Clinic posted a video to Instagram which revealed the ex-Gunners captain undergoing the procedure. The clinic, which is based in Kosovo, showed the 32-year-old getting his current hair trimmed off and a line where his new barnet would be created being drawn on.
The clinic captioned the post: “The mystery is revealed! Granit Xhaka chooses Ozone for perfect hair! The world superstar and the pride of all Albanians, Granit Xhaka, has not compromised when it comes to taking care of his appearance.”
Alongside the footage of the Bayer Leverkusen star‘s transformation, Ozone continued: “He entrusted his hair to our clinic, where the results are amazing and 100% natural for all those who choose us.”
The ‘pride of all Albanians’ gave his new trim a test run on the ski slopes. The Switzerland international shared holiday pics of him and his wife with their two daughters during time away together.
Xhaka looked very happy with his new look and rejuvenated hairline. The Swiss star didn’t take time out of football to do this – the Bundesliga takes a winter break at this time of year.
Xhaka began his career with FC Basel and clinched the Swiss Super League twice, before moving to Borussia Monchengladbach, then earning a £30million switch to the Premier League in 2016. He won two FA Cups in North London, but his time at Arsenal was a mixed success.
Criticised for his inconsistency and temperament, the hot-headed star with a penchant for red cards infamously fell out with Arsenal fans, who cheered and jeered when he was substituted in a game against Crystal Palace in 2019. Xhaka responded by making sarcastic gestures and telling the home support to “f*** off”.
He later apologised and was stripped of the captain’s armband, but after then manager Unai Emery left the Emirates, he enjoyed a renaissance under Mikel Arteta, before moving back to Germany.
During Xhaka’s time with Leverkusen, he has won the prestigious Bundesliga title, overcoming German giants Bayern Munich. He was an integral part of Xabi Alonso’s undefeated side last season and also stopped former north London rival Harry Kane from winning his first trophy.
Alongside his playing career, the ex-Arsenal man has also obtained his UEFA A license. Xhaka is now coaching German fifth-tier side SC Union Nettetal part-time and credits his coaching lessons with allowing him to see a different side to the game.
