Darts world champion Luke Littler took to Instagram to update followers about his monumental win on Friday and some eagle-eyed fans noticed something very telling about the lad in the photo

Luke Littler has been inspired by Messi after he got in bed the Sid Waddell trophy – but some eagle-eyed fans have noticed the same detail on his duvet.

After becoming the youngest ever world darts champion by beating three-time winner Michael van Gerwen 7-3, Luke ‘the Nuke’ celebrated with family and spent a lot of time replying to messages on his phone.

Despite going down in the history books and pocketing a hefty £500,000, the 17-year-old darts star decided to crawl into bed rather than carry on the party into the weekend.

To mark his win, and his well-earned rest, Littler got tucked up in his duvet with the massive silver trophy – echoing the iconic photo Messi posted after Argentina won the World Cup in 2022.

However, there was another detail that fans noticed about the photo taken in Luke’s “home, sweet home” in Warrington. Littler snuggled up in Christmas bedding that featured drawings of Santa Claus among a snowy backdrop.

Fans noted that it reminded them that Luke, is in fact, still a child at the end of the day – one who has achieved a pretty spectacular feat.

Many have hailed Littler’s choice of bedding in the comments as others of his 1.7million followers congratulated him on his historic win.
