Andrew Scott sends followers wild as they reward the ‘good-looking’ actor’s duck egg blue swimsuit on the annual Golden Globe Awards 2025

Award season has officially begun and on Sunday night a whole host of famous faces dressed to impress as they took to the red carpet.

But none more so than Andrew Scott who stole the show at the Golden Globes dressed head to toe in tiffany blue.

The Irishman who is nominated tonight for best performance by an actor in a limited or anthology series for Netflix’s Ripley tuned heads in the stand out number as he confidently posed for pictures.

Wearing a suit jacket, matching trousers, shirt and tie, Andrew ensured all eyes were on him as he made his way into the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Beyond the bold colour choice, Andrew kept things simple in the shoe department with some black lace ups and finished his ensemble with a pearl bracelet.

As he took to the carpet, fans couldn’t hold back on their thoughts, with many gushing over his appearance.

They wrote: ‘andrew scott smiling that’s it #GoldenGlobes’

‘Andrew Scott looks like a paint swatch. However I WILL give him points for wearing something than all black (which a lot of men on the red carpet seem incapable of doing). #GoldenGlobes’

‘why are all the men at the golden globes not giving? like the closest we have to a serve is andrew scott’s tiffany blue suit and that’s it’

‘That shade is recognizable to brides around the globe as Jordan Almond Blue. But Andrew Scott is not a mere snack at the wedding reception. He’s moving units at the Toyota dealership down the street.’

‘Love this blue on Andrew Scott. #GoldenGlobes’

‘Andrew Scott looking handsome in this light blue dress.’

Inspired by Patricia Highsmith’s Tom Ripley novels, Ripley follows Andrew as the cunning con artist who is hired by an American businessman to bring his wayward son back from Italy

However, the seemingly simple task spirals out of control, leading Ripley into a tangled web of lies and murder as he fights to evade capture and maintain his façade.

The series is nominated for three awards – one for Andrew, one for Best Limited Series, Anthology Series or Television Motion Picture and one for best supporting actress for Dakota Fanning.

Andrew will go head to head with fellow Irish actor Colin Farrell who is also nominated for Best Performance by an Actor for his role in The Penguin.

The annual awards show is set to celebrate some of the most popular TV shows and movies this year.

The show takes place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, and will be hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, who went viral last year for her Tom Brady roast.

The works up for nomination this year include some of the biggest hits, like Challengers, Deadpool & Wolverine, Twisters, Wicked and The Brutalist.

Among the actors up for awards are Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo for their respective roles in Wicked, while Selena Gomez is nominated for her role in film Emilia Pérez.

Other names include Timothée Chalamet, who is expected to be joined by his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, as well as Denzel Washington, who is up for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture as he took on the role of Macrinus in Gladiator II.

Last year, the Golden Globes proved a successful night for Oppenheimer, which scored five major awards during the ceremony.

British film-maker Sir Christopher Nolan was named best director for the first time after six nominations, while Irish actor Cillian Murphy took home best actor in a drama for his work as the father of the atomic bomb.

During the event, Cheers legend Ted Danson will receive the Carol Burnett Award for those who have “made outstanding contributions to television on or off screen” and Viola Davis will be handed the Cecil B. DeMille Award for achievement in film.
