Female jail officer who filmed cell romp with lag sentenced to fifteen months in jail
Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30, hit global headlines after a raunchy clip of the steamy affair went viral over the summer – and she drew further controversy over another video shot in a daytime club
The female prison guard who was filmed having a prison cell romp with a lag has been jailed for 15 months for misconduct. Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30, of Fulham, admitted to featuring in the video, recorded in HMP Wandsworth, that was shared widely on social media.
De Sousa Abreu, who is married to the father of her child, claimed she only took part because inmates were threatening to expose her career as an amateur adult star. The lag in the raunchy clip was later identified as convicted burglar Linton Weirich.
The former prison officer was arrested on her way to Heathrow Airport to catch a flight to Madrid after the infamous clip emerged. The X-rated footage, filmed at the Category A jail on June 27 by another inmate, shows her performing a sex act on the serial thief before going on to have sex with him.
The inmate filming the romp is heading saying “this is how we roll in Wandsworth”. She pleaded guilty to misconduct in public office in August last year at Isleworth Crown Court after claiming she had “found faith in God”.
It wasn’t long before she made the headlines again. In September, a clip of the former corrections officer showing off her court ordered ankle tag at daytime club Neverland London in Fulham.
The mother-of-one is seen lifting up her skin-tight beige dress to reveal the chunky black ankle monitor, which she describes as “very mindful” and “very cutesy” — a reference to a viral TikTok video.
De Sousa Abreu was partying with friends who all have OnlyFans accounts, according to The Sun. The 30-year-old, who originally hails from Brazil, was slammed for making a joke out of her punishment.
A source said at the time: “It’s disgusting, she has no shame. She is laughing her head off and looks happy she has a tag to show off.
“She disgraced herself in a public office and now she has no care whatsoever for the punishment. Clearly if she thinks her ankle tag is like a piece of jewellery, she didn’t think it was a big deal.”
One of Abreu’s friends previously told MailOnline there was more to the clip then meets the eye. The pal said: “There’s a lot more to this story than people think. Some of the prisoners had got hold of Linda’s personal details.
“They knew her address, her husband’s name and that she had an OnlyFans account. She was put under a lot of pressure and there was a lot of coercion involved.”
The friend said De Sousa Abreu is “absolutely devastated” by what’s gone on and is “full of remorse.” She said it “wasn’t hard” for prisoners to find out details about her private life.
De Sousa Abreu, who holds Portuguese citizenship, is still married to her husband with whom she shares a child. “They’re a lovely couple and working hard to save their marriage. It’s not been easy for them,” the pal added.
“People are trying to make out that Linda is some kind of sex monster but that’s not the case at all.”
