Inside Steven Gerrard’s daughter’s relationship with boyfriend – gang hyperlinks to being pregnant
Steven Gerrard’s daughter Lilly-Ella has announced she’s pregnant with boyfriend Lee Byrne’s baby. Romance blossomed between the pair on holiday in Ibiza
Steven Gerrard‘s daughter Lilly-Ella this week announced she and her boyfriend Lee Byrne are expecting their first child, meaning her Liverpool legend dad is to become a grandad at 44.
The relationship between Lilly-Ella and Lee began in October 2022 when she was just 18, after a romance blossomed on holiday in Ibiza the summer before. Lee has been accepted into his new family in Merseyside, but back in Ireland, his family have links to a dark criminal underworld. There is no suggestion Lee himself has been involved in any criminal activity.
Lee is the son of imprisoned Irish mobster Liam Byrne. The 43-year-old was handed a five-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to conspiracy to import firearms in court in October last year.
In court, Liam Byrne was described as being the head of the Byrne Organised Crime Group and a suspected member of the infamous Kinahan cartel.
The family was also cast into attention in February 2016 after Lee’s uncle David, was gunned down in a shooting that shook the country – going down as one of the most infamous gangland killings in Irish history.
David’s killing, outside the Regency Hotel in Dublin, marked one of 18 deaths in a fatal feud between the Hutch and Kinahan families.
Dad-to-be Lee is said to be completely smitten with Lilly-Ella, having previously referred to her as “the best person he’s ever met” with the pair often jet-setting around the world and heading back to the Spanish island where their romance bloomed.
After Lee moved into the up-market Freshfield area of Formby, Merseyside, the families are reported to have grown closer with Lee now even seeing Alex Gerrard as a second mum.
The Gerrards are now based in Bahrain after Steven took up a job managing Al Ettifaq in the Saudi Pro League where he is reported to be cashing in on a staggering salary of £15 million – the fourth highest in the world football.
His new pay check has afforded the family a compound in Bahrain, complete with luxury six-bedroom villa, tennis courts and swimming pool all estimated to set him back £10,000 a month.
His three youngest children Lexie, Lourdes, and Lio have all taken up a spot in one of the regions most exclusive schools with Lilly-Ella travelling between Bahrain and her Merseyside home.
