Land Rover hunt launched as trove of jewelry stolen in ‘terrifying’ home raid

North Wales Police are now trying to track down a Land Rover in connection with the robbery, which happened in Llandudno and saw a ‘considerable amount’ of jewellery stolen

Diamond rings were among the items nicked in a “terrifying” home invasion. North Wales Police are now on the hunt for a Land Rover linked to the incident, which took place in Llandudno and resulted in a “considerable amount” of jewellery being stolen.

The aggravated burglary occurred at an Abbey Road property in the early hours of Sunday, November 3, according to North Wales Live. North Wales Police shared a CCTV snap of what they believe to be a Land Rover, stating: “We are hoping to trace the vehicle in connection with an aggravated burglary in Llandudno.

“In the early hours of Sunday, November 3, a house on Abbey Road, Llandudno was targeted by burglars between 12.41am and 3.33am, where a quantity of jewellery was stolen. The items including diamond rings, two necklaces, a watch, a bracelet and costume jewellery are pictured below.”

Investigating officer, detective constable Sean Harrison added: “This was a terrifying incident for the victim, and we are continuing to follow all lines of enquiry to ensure those responsible are caught.

“We know at least two people approached the house at 12.41am and broke in through a window, where they stole a considerable amount of jewellery. They were seen leaving the house at 3.33am in the direction of Abbey Place.

“At 3.35am, CCTV footage shows the pictured vehicle, which appears to be a Land Rover, travelling past the victim’s home.

“I am asking anyone who recognises this car, or anyone who thinks they might have seen it travelling in the area before or after the burglary, and has CCTV or dashcam footage, to contact us”, reports Wales Online.

“I am also appealing to anybody who witnessed this incident, or noticed anything suspicious at the time, to get in touch.”
