Manchester United’s wantaway star Marcus Rashford has been handed an escape route by Serie A giants AC Milan, who want the Red Devils winger on loan
Marcus Rashford has been handed a Manchester United escape route after becoming an outcast under Ruben Amorim.
Rashford, 27, looks set to leave Old Trafford in January – after he admitted to journalist Henry Winter he wants a change of scenery: “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps…
“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about Manchester United. That’s me as a person. If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse.
“I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.” Rashford added he’d “100 per cent” always be a Red Devil.
And Italian outlet Relevo has suggested AC Milan are ready to enter the race to sign him. The report adds Napoli are also interested in a deal, with Scott McTominay turning his career around in the southern Italian city.
The Sun are reporting that Napoli are exploring a potential swap deal for Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray.
Rashford was dropped by Ruben Amorim again on Sunday afternoon as the Red Devils put in one of the displays of the season to take a point off Liverpool away from home at Anfield.
Rashford’s problems with Amorim started after he had netted twice for the Red Devils in a 4-0 win over Everton in December. According to The Athletic, Amorim was told after that match that two days earlier, 48 hours before the game, Rashford had spent a Friday night out in Manchester.
The United head coach was not impressed and when he questioned Rashford about the supposed night out, he told the manager he had been misinformed.
Three days later, against Arsenal, Rashford was dropped.
