Concerned GB News viewers demand solutions as ‘croaky’ Eamonn Holmes ‘goes lacking’ in center of present with out clarification

Eamonn Holmes worried GB News viewers after he ‘disappeared’ from his own GB News show on Wednesday.

The 65 year old took to the studio again to present the breakfast segment with co-host Ellie Costello from 6am.

But those watching at home were very concerned when the Northern Irish presenter wasn’t on their screens after a short advert break.

The two had just spoken to their sports presenter co-star Paul Coyte and when they arrived back in the studio, Eamonn was nowhere to be seen.

This meant that Ellie had to interview former Liberal Democrat member Norman Baker and political commentator Clare Muldoon by herself.

Many were left questioning where the former This Morning presenter had gone.

One pointed out that he sounded ‘croaky’ while talking to viewers.

They speculated: ‘Eamonn was sounding croaky just now – A&E perhaps.’

Another questioned:’ Where is Eamonn this morning?’

A third added: ‘Where’s wally? Sorry Eamonn!’

Eamonn later returned to his seat to review the morning papers, but neither him or Ellie explained why he had disappeared.

Breakfast with Eamonn and Ellie airs Monday to Wednesday between 6 and 9:30am.

The morning segment used to be called Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel, but Ellie took over from Isabel Webster last year.

Eamonn – who joined the channel four years ago – and Isabel presented the show together between 2021 and 2024.

Ellie previously presented Breakfast with Stephen and Ellie every Thursday and Friday from 6am.

The shake-up was revealed last month.

A spokesperson for GB News said at the time: ‘Ellie Costello will now co-host GBN Breakfast five days a week, presenting alongside Eamonn Holmes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and with Stephen Dixon on Thursday and Friday.

‘Stephen and Anne Diamond will continue to co-present GB News Breakfast at Weekends.’

Eamonn took to Instagram to address the change in a positive post.

He wrote: ‘A New Year, a new day and a new Breakfast line up on @GBNews. It’s now Eamonn and @EllieCostelloTV from 6 to 9.30.

‘It’s Fresh, bright, different and I hope we have your company on TV, online, on your smartphone, on your radio and by asking your smart device to play GB News.

‘Please join us and say hello.’

Eamonn added in the comments: ‘Hi Everyone. Changing programme presenters is a difficult thing but thank you for all your support re the new format.’

Many rushed to the comments to share the love.

One wrote: ‘Well done to Ellie who I think is fabulous but will miss the lovely Isabel in the mornings x.’

Another added: ‘Happy new year all the best wishes for 2025.’

‘Wishing you all the best. So lovely to see you at Christmas,’ a third chimed in.
