WWE star places Gary Neville in a sharpshooter after which calls for he says one factor
WWE superstar and die-hard Liverpool fan Sheamus put Manchester United icon Gary Neville in a sharpshooter and demanded he accept the Reds are winning the league
WWE superstar Sheamus put Gary Neville in a sharpshooter and demanded that he accepted Liverpool are winning the league.
Neville, who was appearing on the ‘It’s Called Soccer’ podcast, was put into a sharpshooter – a submission manoeuvre – by the former WWE Champion. “I’m not going to enjoy this am I,” Neville signed as Sheamus instructed him to get on the floor.
“Just lay on the ground there,” the Irishman responded before adding: “I feel sorry for you… do you know how long I’ve waited to do this… since I was probably 12/14-years-old.
“This is called the Clover Leaf,” Sheamus then lifts the Manchester United icon up with apparent ease before flipping him into a sharpshooter. “Say Liverpool are going to win the league,” Sheamus joked as Neville responded: “F*** Liverpool!”
“Say Liverpool are number one! Say it Gary! Say it,” Sheamus adds, before Neville finally obliges.
Despite hailing for Ireland, Sheamus is a die-hard Liverpool fan – and he once had the perfect taunt for a Manchester crowd as WWE toured the UK in 2018. As part of a tag team with Cesaro, the pair made their regular entrance in trench coats.
However, once they made it to the ring, Sheamus and Cesaro stripped off revealing Liverpool shirts to the red-hot Manchester crowd. Not happy with merely wearing a Liverpool kit in Manchester, Sheamus also serenaded those in attendance with a rendition of “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.
And as the curtain was brought down on the Raw event, the Irishman also mocked the local support by stating that Liverpool “always gets the gold”.
Liverpool are back in action on Wednesday evening as they travelled down to north London for their Carabao Cup semi-final clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
