Awkward TV reunion: Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott reunite half-NAKED on display simply weeks after stunning breakup
Sam Thompson and Zara McDermott awkwardly reunited on TV just weeks after their split.
This is the last footage of the former couple together – half-naked – after they ended their five-year relationship over Christmas.
A trailer for the eighth series of Michael McIntyre‘s Big Show aired on BBC One last night (Thursday, January 9), in a prime slot between the new series of Dragon’s Den and the latest episode of The Traitors.
The 30-second advert features the comedian and a camera crew in Sam and Zara’s bedroom for the show’s Midnight Gameshow skit, where they wake up celebrities.
Sam, 32, was seen wearing only a pair of boxer shorts and shouted: ‘What the hell?’ as McIntyre yelled: ‘Welcome.’
Zara, 28, in black pyjamas with a white trim, looked stunned, with a cuddly toy visible on their bed.

The former couple, who parted ways after five years together over Christmas, are yet to publicly comment on their break-up
The reality pair were reportedly uncertain about whether the BBC would air their embarrassing appearance.
But the fact that the broadcaster chose to feature them in a trailer—airing it between two major programmes on Thursday night—suggests there are no plans to scrap it.
Neither Sam nor Zara have publicly commented on their split, but it’s believed that the former Love Island star has already moved out of Sam’s West London home.
She was recently spotted getting back to work in Essex, while Sam has been supported by his pal Pete Wicks.
In the trailer, Michael McIntyre said: ‘I’m back with the show that so many people love, but no one seems to know what it’s called. People call it ‘the one where he takes people’s phones,’ ‘the one where you wake people up in the night.’
It then cuts to Sam and Zara in bed together. Sam says, ‘What the hell?’ and Zara is left with her mouth agape.
Michael continued: ‘The one where the wall falls down,’
It then cuts to a script that reads: ‘Not The Wheel, the other one.’
