Ghislaine Maxwell’s £3.2million townhouse the place notorious image of Prince Andrew ‘with hand round Virginia Roberts’ waist was taken’ goes up on the market

Ghislaine Maxwell‘s luxury London townhouse where the infamous picture of Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre was allegedly taken has gone up for sale.

The convicted sex trafficker’s property, located in the upmarket neighbourhood of Belgravia, has gone on the market for £3.25million.

It is listed at almost double for what she sold it for four years ago, as property developer Stuart Robinson looks to cash in on his investment after paying £1.75million for the three bedroom mews in April 2021.

Maxwell’s home is also alleged to be the location where the Duke of York was snapped with his arm around Virginia Giuffre – formerly Roberts – who was one of paedophile Jeffrey Epstein‘s victims.

Ms Giuffre claims she was forced to have sex with the prince in the property’s bath tub by Epstein and Maxwell. Prince Andrew has always vehemently denied the claims.

The house is listed with luxury estate agents Chestertons, who have unsurprisingly decided to not mention any of the building’s gruesome past in its listing.

They describe it as ‘a charming, newly refurbished three bedroom house arranged over 3 floors’, with a ‘generous ground floor entertaining space and a wonderfully bright principal bedroom suite on the second floor’.

The house, which is near the flagship Harvey Nichols store, has not been lived in since Maxwell sold it for £1.75 million to pay her legal fees in 2021.

The new pictures of the home show that some of the original features remain, with the ill-famed bathroom appearing as it did when it was first pictured in January 2022, when Robinson unsuccessfully tried to flip the property.

This room is where Prince Andrew allegedly had sex with Giuffre in 2021, who was 17 at the time, according to her court testimony.

Andrew has always strongly denied any wrongdoing and claimed that he has never even met Ms Giuffre, now a mother-of-three living in Australia.

Maxwell also denied the accusation, claiming under oath that the ‘tub is too small for any type of activity whatsoever.’

In an attempt to prove this statement, Ghislaine’s brother Ian released a bizarre photo of two fully clothed people sitting in a bath with Prince Andrew and Virginia masks on.

The move was slammed by royal experts, lawyers and members of the public alike, who said it was ‘surreal’, ‘absurd’ and ‘proved nothing’.

Ms Giuffre claims in court papers that she returned to the house with Maxwell and Andrew after visiting Tramp’s nightclub. She said the prince was was ‘sweating profusely’ on her.

In his now infamous Newsnight interview, Prince Andrew denied all the claims and said it was ‘impossible’ for him to sweat since he developed a condition while serving in the Falklands war.

He also claimed he was at home on the night in question, following a kids’ party with daughter Beatrice at Pizza Express in Woking, and said the photo of him and Ms Giuffre had been doctored.

The prince ended up paying on no admission of liability a financial settlement – reportedly as much as £12m – to Ms Giuffre, formally ending a civil case brought against him in the US.

Maxwell sold the house in 2021 to fund legal fees for her own court battle in the States and it has been collecting dust ever since.

The house is a taboo subject in the neighbourhood – as locals refuse to talk about the black spot on their street.

One local, who did not want to be named, told MailOnline in 2023: ‘They repainted it, took the window boxes off. People avoid it.

‘It’s a great house. I think it’d be pretty fun for a young couple actually, living across from a pub.

‘If it’s an American they don’t really care, it’s not like someone died there. But it’s weird – I think most people wouldn’t care.’

Maxwell was found guilty in December 2021 of finding young girls for Prince Andrew’s paedophile pal Epstein to sexually abuse between 1994 and 2004.
