Coronation Street viewers were left stunned on Wednesday night as the soap delivered a jaw-dropping twist that tugged at the heartstrings.
In an emotional moment, a fan-favourite character made an unexpected return – but in a devastating revelation, it was revealed to all just be a hallucination.
Abi Franklin, played by Sally Carman, found herself face-to-face with her late son Seb Franklin, years after his shocking death in a brutal hate crime. The emotional reunion caught fans off guard, only for it to be revealed as a vision brought on by Abi’s grief and trauma.
Seb, played by Harry Visinoni, was tragically killed in 2021 after stepping in to protect his girlfriend, Nina Lucas, during a violent attack. His death devastated his mother Abi, and now, four years on, she continues to struggle with the overwhelming pain of losing her son.
Abi’s recent trauma stems from another harrowing incident: the murder of teenager Mason Radcliffe. Caught in the aftermath of a horrific knife attack, Abi tried desperately to save Mason’s life after he was attacked by his own brothers.
Despite her efforts, Mason succumbed to his injuries in hospital, leaving Abi haunted by the ordeal.
