Revealed: Faces of masked mob who stabbed trans lady outdoors curler disco in ‘revenge for mendacity about her gender identification earlier than intercourse act on boy’ – as they’re put behind bars

A gang of thugs who senselessly attacked a transgender girl at a roller skating party in revenge for her lying about her gender identity before performing a sex act on a boy have been locked up today.

The 18-year-old victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was lured to a roller disco where a masked mob screamed ‘tranny’ as they punched, kicked and stamped on her after she was repeatedly knifed by ringleader Summer Betts-Ramsey.

In a horrifying 45-second attack which was filmed and plotted on Snapchat, the victim was punched to the ground where she was kicked at least seven times by Betts-Ramsey before the 19-year-old pulled out a knife.

While the victim lay helpless, Betts-Ramsey knifed the victim nine times in the nose, thigh, hand, and buttocks at Harrow Leisure Centre, in north-west London, on February 10 last year.

Other teenagers, unmasked for the first time today, rained down blows, beating her with a pair of roller skates and boots before snatching her handbag and fleeing, leaving the victim in a pool of blood.

The victim only survived the attack after a member of the public intervened to stop Betts-Ramsey stamping on her head and called an ambulance.

Appearing at the Old Bailey today, Betts-Ramsey was sentenced alongside 18-year-olds Bradley Harris, Camron Osei and Shiloh Hindes, and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named, after all admitted causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

Betts-Ramsey was sentenced to four-and-half years in a young offender’s institution, plus another four years on licence.

Meanwhile, Harris, Hindes and Osei have all been locked up for three years in a young offender’s institution. The 17-year-old boy was handed an 18-month youth rehabilitation order.

A sixth girl who admitted robbery by taking the victim’s bag will be sentenced later today.

The trial heard how Harris plotted the attack when the victim denied she was transgender before kissing him and performing an oral sex act days earlier.

Unbeknownst to the victim, Harris recorded the sexual encounter on January 29 on a Facetime video call.

A friend then phoned Harris to tell him that the victim was transgender, which she admitted only after Harris held her at knifepoint saying ‘I’ll stab you if you lie’.

The victim later apologised, but Harris was already meticulously planning a savage revenge attack.

Hours before the attack, Betts-Ramsey was heard on the phone saying: ‘I have to go to Harrow to beat up a f-ing tranny bro.’

The knife-obsessed 19-year-old decided to bring one of the blades she had had delivered to the children’s home where she lived.

Afterwards Betts-Ramsey, now 20, boasted about the stabbing, posting a story on Snapchat with footage from the attack and laughing emojis, telling friends: ‘I’m going jail… bro I stabbed her 12 times.’

Others taunted the victim sending messages saying: ‘Ur looking sweet.’

In a moving victim impact statement, the transgender girl said she has suffered panic attacks, struggles to sleep, and fears she might not be able to work as a model due to her injuries.

‘I have become depressed and am always in fear leaving the house,’ she said.

‘I am constantly in fear of being assaulted again. I feel at times this is taking over my life.

‘The incident has resulted in thick scars on my body which saddens me every time I see them- I feel like I am the one living a life sentence due to them.

‘In the past I have experienced animosity towards me being transgender but I never thought anyone would have so much hatred for me and want to assault me in the way they did.’

Betts-Ramsey was subject to a community order at the time of the stabbing after being convicted of robbery and battery.
