Liverpool switch information: Milos Kerkez sends Liverpool switch message after goalscoring heroics
Liverpool are yet to make a signing in the January transfer window despite the club’s owners, FSG, making it clear that funds are available to strengthen the squad
With the transfer window clock ticking down, Liverpool are yet to make a signing.
Marcelo Pitaluga has jetted off to Fluminense and Calvin Ramsay is now with Kilmarnock on loan. Arne Slot’s squad hasn’t welcomed any additions despite aiming for Premier League glory this season.
Yet, Darwin Nunez’s recent double against Brentford breathing life into their campaign, showing his worth by clinching vital points as Liverpool battled the Bees. So, what could the next fortnight hold for Liverpool?
Harvey Elliott has squashed any murmur of an exit, confirming his dedication to the Reds amid speculations. Sharing his steadfast commitment, Elliott said: “Absolutely [I want to stay].
“Liverpool is my club, Liverpool is my team. I want to fight for my place, fight for my position in the team. I am going to do what it takes. Do it as much as I can,” reports the Mirror.
He continued, emphasising his resolve to contribute whenever possible: “Help the team out when it’s possible. It’s down to me to put in the effort, the hard work, the desire, to make that achievement. I am not going to give up, I am going to keep fighting and who knows what might happen.”
Meanwhile, reports from the Liverpoool Echo suggests an imminent departure as midfielder Tom Hill is tipped for a switch to Harrogate.
Hill, who has been with the Reds academy since he was five, is on the brink of a permanent departure. The 22-year-old is set to sign an 18-month contract as he aims to kick-start his senior career.
Hill made his senior debut at Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup in December 2019 and signed his first professional contract in February 2020. However, a knee surgery in September that year sidelined him for nearly two years.
According to The Athletic, young duo Tyler Morton and James McConnell could also be leaving Liverpool this month.
In other news, Bournemouth defender Milos Kerkez, who has been the subject of much transfer speculation recently, may have fuelled more rumours with his latest social media post.
After Bournemouth’s 4-1 victory over Newcastle on Saturday, where he scored a goal, he posted on Instagram: “I talk on the pitch”, along with a picture of his goal celebration.
Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai, Kerkez’s teammate from the Hungary national team, responded with: “Yes my son,” followed by a red heart emoji. Reports suggest that Kerkez’s preferred move would be to Anfield.
