First ever McLaren Senna to be constructed is goes below the hammer for a whopping £1 million
The first ever McLaren Senna – the P15 – is heading to auction and is expected to sell for a whopping £1million due to the motor being in near perfect condition with just over 1,000 miles on the clock
The first-ever McLaren Senna is set to cause a frenzy at auction with an eye-watering £1 million price tag. This 2019 beast, bearing the chassis number 0001, is the original model of the 208mph stunner.
With barely 1,000 miles ticked off, this motor’s in tip-top shape. Under the bonnet lies a beefed-up 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that’ll give you whiplash with its 0-60 mph sprint in a mere 2.8 seconds.
It’s a powerhouse with 789 bhp, capable of hitting 124 mph from a standstill in just 6.8 seconds, as per Luxury Auto News. Named after the iconic Formula One champ Aryton Senna, the Brazilian legend who clinched three world titles before his tragic death in 1994 at the age of 34, this car is a tribute on wheels.
Senna was a hero for McLaren’s F1 team, and this car honours his legacy with every rev.
Sporting a slick Chicane Grey and Papaya Spark paint job, the Senna will be the star of the show at the upcoming auction on 22 February. The gavel will bang at Stoneleigh Park, Coventry, where Iconic Auctioneers are gearing up for the big day.
They’ve been quoted saying: “It’s fair to say the McLaren Senna had some big boots to fill, being the third iteration of McLaren’s ‘Ultimate Series’ following the legendary F1 and ‘widow-maker’ P1. “.
“But it’s safe to say the Senna lives up to all expectations and more. First unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show it was a sharp and purposeful car with one main goal; to be the fastest and most track-focused road car McLaren had ever produced.”
“A fitting tribute to Ayrton Senna to say the least.”
