Teenage woman is ‘raped in prepare station bogs’ as police put additional officers on the streets and launch pressing probe in response

Police have launched an investigation after a teenage girl was allegedly attacked in a train station toilet.
The incident happened around 5.50pm on Sunday in the toilet at Nuneaton Railway Station, Warwickshire.
The victim is believed to have been together with the suspect in the afternoon before the attack.
They are said to have gone to at least one pub in the town and to a local park.
The ‘extremely concerning incident’ has prompted officers to be sent out to the area around the station and the surrounding area and an investigation has been launched which includes CCTV being reviewed, Warwickshire Police said.
Officers are now appealing for any witnesses to have seen what happened to come forward.
Detective Inspector Owen Fell from Warwickshire Police said: ‘This is an extremely concerning incident and we’ve launched a thorough enquiry. We’re studying CCTV from the site and other places in the town we believe the victim and suspect visited.
‘We believe they were together in the afternoon before the attack took place, going into at least one pub in the town and to Riversley Park. We’re appealing for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or concerning to get in touch with us.’
