Luke Littler learns Premier League schedule as he is set to reignite Van Gerwen rivalry

Luke Littler will reignite his rivalry with Michael van Gerwen on the opening night of the Premier League with the schedule released on Wednesday evening

Luke Littler has discovered his schedule for the Premier League of Darts.

The Nuke, 18, will return to the tournament for the second time – this time carrying the mantle of World Darts Champion after beating Michael van Gerwen in the final earlier this month.

And the pair will lock horns once again during the opening night of the Premier League on February 6 at The SSE Arena in Belfast. Meanwhile World No.1 Luke Humphries will kick off against former World Matchplay champion Nathan Aspinall.

Stephen Bunting will mark his return to the Premier League with a clash against 2018 World Champion Rob Cross and Chris Dobey and Gerwyn Price make up the opening round of action.

All scheduled matches will be played over the best of 11 legs between all players.

The world’s best throwers will play across Europe in venues that range from Germany to Northern Ireland.

With each night featuring quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final – with a £10,000 bonus will be on offer for every nightly winner.

There will also be ranking points up for grabs that will could towards the final table: five to the winner, three to the runner-up and two to the semi-finalists.
